I downgraded to B class, quite a way off A class standard, no formal rating WP:GA, WP:WPM/ACR. For starters the notes section needs to be sorted out. --Salix alba (talk) 22:34, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ass for mid rating! The maths priority gradings are very tough, by comparrison with Wikipedia:WikiProject Mathematics/Wikipedia 1.0/Mathematicians it seems that a major prize are needed for High rating. --Salix alba (talk) 20:25, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not following the bit about his importance. He was regarded as one of the World's leading algebraists and was awarded the Lester R Ford Award from the Mathematical Association of America in 1972 and the Senior Berwick Prize of the London Mathematical Society in 1974 (references in article).--Poetlister 11:34, 1 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
