Total & Sensible

[edit]

What is the meaning of "Total [transfer]"? Does this mean "transfer of latent heat"? And why are there entries in that table that only have "sensible" type - this seems just like an HRV to me. The same goes for the Plate heat exchanger in the last section. — Sebastian 03:06, 18 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sensible heat is the temperature you can measure with a thermometer. Latent heat is that which is not measurable with by temperature alone, this would be humidity, moisture in the air is added to the sensible heat and total enthalpy is calculated. Total enthapy should be used to find the amount of cooling that is needed to cool a space. Jeep —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.12.61.190 (talk) 16:20, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Image showing types and efficiencies

[edit]

It looks like the "Principle" section for "Horizontal Flat Panel" and "Cellular" depict the same thing (I'm assuming it's the Horizontal Flat Panel being shown). Should the "Cellular" Principle image show squares instead of rectangles? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mustardman24 (talkcontribs) 17:52, 28 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
