Fake quote?

"Democracy is a pathetic belief in the collective wisdom of individual ignorance." is not found in Mencken's book. Wikiquote declares it misattributed. Nicmart (talk) 04:24, 24 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The other quote is little better. Mencken describes democracy as "a combat between jackals and jackasses." I'm removing that part of the entry. Nicmart (talk) 04:41, 24 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
