First Performance

[edit]

"M. Choufleuri was first performed privately at the Présidence du Corps Légistlatif, Palais Bourbon, Paris on 31 October 1861. The first public performance was given at the Théâtre des Bouffes Parisiens, Paris on 14 September 1861.": So the public performance was the first - or wasn't it? 212.204.77.25 11:38, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed. Info from Opera Grove.
I notice that the original version of this article states that the music was composed by Offenbach and "St Rémy" and that the libretto was anonymous, and that's what it says in Grove (where Halévy, Crémieux and Lepine but not St Rémy are listed as having "probably assisted with" the libretto.
However, the current version of the article has Offenbach as the sole composer and St Rémy as one of the librettists. Does this information come from a better source than Grove? --GuillaumeTell 16:30, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Title

[edit]

I noticed that Jean-Claude Yon gives the title will a full 'Monsieur' rather than an abbreviation. Likewise the Keck edition [1]. Cg2p0B0u8m (talk) 20:18, 2 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
