This definition of the networked book was introduced in a paper written by Kim White about a project undertaken by the Institute for the Future of the Book [1] it was published by Kairosnews [2] as part of the C&W Online 2005 Conference.

To this point, the Institute for the Future of the Book has been the principal custodian of this page. Our hope is that it will eventually turn into a vibrant, multi-party discussion.
