All signs currently have the wrong colors

[edit]

According to the current Manual de señalización vial y dispositivos de seguridad, the colors of the signs should be as follows:

Official RGB values for Mexican road signs
Yellow - preventive - 255,202,6 - #ffca06
Red - restrictive - 189,32,37 - #bd2025
Lime green - school - 188,214,48 - #bcd630
Blue - tourism informative - 50,71,157 - #32479d
Green - destination informative - 0,113,80 - #007150
Orange - construction/repair - 240,82,34 - #f05222
Black - 0,0,0 - #000
White - 255,255,255 - #fff

This manual is from 2014, though, and it is due to be updated, given that a new NOM on road signs is to be promulgated next month or so. I will wait a little in case there are changes. Born2bgratis (talk) 20:45, 5 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Redesigned signs from new Manual

[edit]

The updated NOM-034-SCT2/SEDATU-2022 was promulgated and published in the Diario Oficial de la Federación on September 19, 2023. The corresponding updated Manual of Signaling and Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways is available for download as a draft from CONAMER, as a DOCX full of new images. It describes a new typeface, too. 2806:103E:16:FC56:98E9:DE5A:8455:D436 (talk) 06:37, 18 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

New manual officially available!

[edit]

For the first time since the '80s, Mexican signs have received a thorough revamp. https://www.sct.gob.mx/fileadmin/DireccionesGrales/DGST/Manuales/Manual_de_se%C3%B1alizaci%C3%B3n_y_dispositivos_para_el_control_de_transito/Manual_de_se%C3%B1alizacion_y_dispositivos_para_el_control_del_transito.pdf 2806:103E:16:CAF6:DC1C:803B:DDAA:CFE2 (talk) 10:06, 27 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
