This page definately deserves to exist. someone just needs to add some detail to it!

The university has changed its name to Shanghai Open University. Consider changing the article title and redirect the old name to the new one? Chinesewave 01:57 25 July 2012 (UTC)

Notability

[edit]

For all I could find ot, this is a public university (for remote learning), and as such it can be assumed to be notable. The article needs expansion though; I will change the tags accordingly. Sorted as part of the Notability wikiproject. --B. Wolterding 22:29, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

From a quick Google search it does appear that STU is notable (and I'll add some info in a moment).

However I want to point out that making blanket statements of notability such as "all public universities are notable" may be dangerous :). Pan Dan 22:52, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
