Article creation rationale? Merge of existing ARL 40 wikiarticle?

[edit]

Hi, today I was returning to work on the ARL 40 and discovered that had been merged (sort of) into this one, which was created about 1 month after it (ARL V 39 didn't exist when ARL 40 was created, at least not in mainspace). Can anyone please explain the rationale for doing so, rather than expanding the article that already existed? Thanks & regards, DPdH (talk) 00:52, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
