I think several articles with names similar to this have been deleted as spam. Biscuittin (talk) 19:41, 8 July 2010 (UTC) Working in the healthcare industry I find I come across Barchester's name a lot - they seem to be working particularly on improving life for dementia sufferers. I have read the notability guidelines, and the article in question and am interested in what makes it more like an ad than an article as apposed to, perhaps, BUPA. Is it the narrowness of focus of this company or is it that it does not talk about the research and development work? Or has the company taken it upon themselves to write their own article which would be publicity!?--OldCuriosityShop (talk) 18:53, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Advertising

[edit]

I think this bit sounds like advertising: "Employing more than 14,000 staff, Barchester Healthcare is the only care provider listed in the Sunday Times Top 25 Big Companies To Work For 2010. This is an award voted for by staff. Barchester was placed on the same list in 2006 and 2009". However, it may not justify deleting the whole article.
