Suggest removing Food section[edit]

Is there anything in the Food section which is specific to child soldiers? It appears to be just regular stuff about what everyone had to go through, with one quote to a 15yr old (and you fail to mention the quote is by him) which is cited to a K-12 education site (would have been far better to quote the actual book that they are quoting from).

In any case, I submit Food is not noteworthy unless somehow the kids were issued different rations from the adults of something, otherwise it's not particular to this topic. MatthewVanitas (talk) 19:28, 6 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Conscription of 17 year olds[edit]

Apparently the Confederacy conscripted 17 year olds as reservists by law. Wouldn't they have been called up towards the end of the war? https://u-s-history.com/pages/h249.html https://encyclopediaofarkansas.net/entries/conscription-6400/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.106.209.162 (talk) 20:52, 12 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
