The person is de:Konrad Meyer, not Ehrlinger, see http://www.dfg.de/aktuelles_presse/ausstellungen_veranstaltungen/generalplan-ost/planung_2.html or http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Datei:Bundesarchiv_R_49_Bild-0023,_Berlin,_Ausstellung_%22Planung_und_Aufbau_im_Osten%22.jpg --Hozro (talk) 22:20, 28 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The image from Wikicommons clearly states this is Erich Ehrlinger. Here is part of the original Bundesarchiv caption:

[Berlin.- Ausstellung über Aufbau und Planung im Osten, v.l.n.r.: Rudolf Hess, Heinrich Himmler, Philipp Bouhler, Dr. Fritz Todt, Reinhard Heydrich, ganz rechts: Vortragender Erich Ehrlinger

.

In this case, the two people shown in the photographs are identified in the sources as different people. One source says it is Ehrlinger, and another source says that someone who appears to be the same man on the same occasion (but in a different photograph) is Meyer. I agree, it could be Meyer, and it would be consistent with his background. That however is a matter of original research consisting of comparing other photographs such as this one of Meyer. and this one of Ehrlinger. It should be noted that Ehrlinger was also in Poland in 1941.
Of note further is that the German wikipedia article on Fritz Todt also identifies Ehrlinger as the man in the image, in contradiction of the German article on Meyer.
Under the circumstances I suggest waiting to see if other editors have an opinion. The image is important, because whether it is Meyer or Ehrlinger, it clearly shows an important historical conference.Mtsmallwood (talk) 02:54, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
