Are we mixing up two individuals?

The newspaper biography of 1899 (see references) makes no mention of any connection to geology. Is this article confusing two individuals with the same name? --Krsmith (talk) 07:11, 16 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes - I've removed the part you refer to, which related to Thomas Jamieson b. 11 Sept 1848, d. 3 May 1924, an analytical chemist in Aberdeen. The newspaper article is incorrect. I traced both Jamiesons in the 1891 census and other documents. Pynicola (talk) 16:00, 19 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
