Inspiration for the character[edit]

Hello, after reading Miller's ELEKTRA:Assassin, seeing Agents of Shield and doing a few searches online, i found out where the inspiration came from for the name and looks of this Messed up Shield agent. John Murdoch Garett was a star hockey player back in the 50's.he is/was a commentator too, might be retired now. I found it easily because he played for the Local Team here in Québec, the Nordiques.
