[edit]The date formats in the infobox and dates in § Swimming are inconsistent with the rest of the article."fifth appearance at the Summer Olympics since their debut" – wikilink Summer Olympics."Four athletes (two men and two women)" – you are more familiar than me with these types of articles; is mentioning their genders really relevant at all? This is somewhat of a personal preference, but I quite dislike how long "(Sultan Saeed and Shifana Ali in track and field, and Hassan Mubah and Aminath Rouya Hussain in swimming)" is. Instead of parentheses, how about just using an em dash or a semicolon?"and as of Athens, no Maldivian had won a medal in any events." – this makes it sound like Maldives has since won a medal at the olympics, but to my knowledge it has not."The Maldives" is used exclusively in § Background whilst the rest of the article uses just "Maldives". Both are acceptable but make sure one usage is standard."during the parade of nations of the opening ceremony." – wikilink to 2004 Summer Olympics Parade of Nations"Saeed qualified for the 2004 Athens Games as a wildcard" – wikilink wild card (sports)."Sultan Saeed was notable for carrying the Maldivian flag" – change to "Sultan Saeed carried the Maldivian flag"."without competing in any notable sporting event" and "had not competed in any notable sporting event." – is there a different way to word these so that they sound a bit more neutral-ish? If this is a direct quotation from their statements than perhaps use quotation marks.- @LunaEatsTuna, I don't see any better way to mention it. Would it be better to remove that part of the sentence? -- EN-Jungwon 16:58, 13 February 2023 (UTC)
- Fair enough – actually, I think it can stay. It is certainly noteworthy. ツLunaEatsTuna (💬)— 19:04, 13 February 2023 (UTC)

"Mubah ranked 73th" – "Mubah ranked 73rd"."Aminath Rouya Hussain represented Aruba" – Aruba? All four of the efn notes need citations.
Refs
[edit]Spotcheck—no concerns with refs 1–3, 5–9, but:
Ref 5 does not seem to support "Making his Summer Olympics debut, Sultan Saeed was notable for carrying the Maldivian flag at the opening ceremony. He was the oldest person to represent the nation at the 2004 games at the age of 28. Saeed qualified for the 2004 Athens Games as a wildcard, without competing in any notable sporting event."
- Formatting:
Is a better publication name available for ref 3?Ref 4 is dead.Give more detailed titles for refs 5 and 6 so as to distinguish them.
