Ritual pollution & banishment

[edit]

This article is really just a portion of a larger anthropological article on ritual pollution and banishment, See, for example the Romani terms: Magerdo, Makhardo, Marime and Pokelime. (Hancock, Ian (1997) "A Glossary of Romani Terms" The American Journal of Comparative Law 45(2): pp. 329-344) As such, it should either be merged into the article on the Hamer people or into an article on banishment, which is currently a disambiguation page. --Bejnar (talk) 06:30, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I do not necessarily oppose this being merged into another article if a good argument is made. However, my understanding is that mingi as practiced is usually ritual infanticide, not banishment. I fear that merging this article with Hamer people will lead to resistance and probable deletion there. I will add a link in that article to this one and see how it goes.Wrotesolid (talk) 04:19, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
