Naming convention

[edit]

SHouldnt this be named Mount Pleasant, Australian Capital Territory, as many other localities in Australia are named? --TheJosh 11:43, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No, there is a distinction between localities {such as suburbs and towns} and geographic features. See the discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Australian places/Archive 2 and the convention at Wikipedia:Naming conventions (places)#Australia--Golden Wattle talk 18:55, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
