Purpose

[edit]

Note that the purpose of the movement was to raise money to elect like-minded people and to "get out the vote." It is therefore "Election" oriented. Calling it "politics" is a diversion since it was not able to accomplish its goal. Student7 (talk) 15:48, 8 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I beg to differ. It wasn't started by a farmer. Ruth Dwyer sympathized with the movement as a part of her campaign. ~~John Dee — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.223.163.225 (talk) 02:42, 24 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
