Questionable introductory paragraph
[edit]The introductory paragraph is self-contradictory, and contains no citations. The contradiction is between the statement that fetuin belongs to a group of carrier proteins which includes albumin, and the last sentence of the paragraph which contrasts fetuin abundance with albumin abundance in fetal versus adult bovine serum. The first paragraph is contradicted by the "Family members" section, which puts fetuins in the cystatin superfamily of proteins. But that section seems contradicted by the cystatin entry, which states that cystatins have a similarity to fetuins. -- Ben Best:Talk 15:01, 7 September 2018 (UTC)
- I found a citation indicating that Fetulin-A is a major carrier protein of free-fatty acids in the bloodstream, and added that citation to the first paragraph. Otherwise, my questioning critique stands. --Ben Best:Talk 15:56, 7 September 2018 (UTC)
