Cemeteries

[edit]

Why is there a huge list of cemeteries? Is East Lyme known for them? If so, could someone add a paragraph explaining the pertinence of the list. At the moment it seems like a directory. Thanks -- Siobhan Hansa 18:30, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

East Lyme is known for many very old historical cemeteries. It certainly is just a list right now, just like the beaches were a list, but the information is growing on them. Perhaps some day someone might even have a page on each cemetery and the main article is like a portal for all the information. Just let it grow over time and it will continuously improve. A town does not have to be known for something however for information to be included. Eventually all facts will be documented on everything.

Whoever added the picture of the cemetery, please rescan it or fix it since its rotated a significant amount. You can fix this with photoshop, etc. Also - a caption should be included as to which cemetery it is.

hell... photos!

[edit]

I took a whole bunch of photos of the town (I live in it). And will add them to the article where needed, I'll also add in some fairly 'locally and sometimes otherwise' well known local 'destinations'. Although in my opinion the town itself is fairly boring,.... :-) Nateland 18:53, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of schools information?

[edit]

I understand that someone deleted the schools information and created a new page. I think that each school should have its own page as this seems like the standard used. Perhaps someone from each school can create this.

Constantine's

[edit]

I was in Niantic/East Lyme in April and it looked like Constantine's was closed. Does anyone know if it's temporary or permanent? trepto (talk) 04:51, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It suffered a kitchen fire and closed. The building has reopened under a new name: Main Street Grille.Dmcoxe (talk) 14:53, 2 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Change in all instances from "www.eltownhall.com" to "eltownhall.com" Note: eltownhall.com is the preferred URL for the town web site.

RE: In the External Links section 1. The East Lyme Police do not have a separate web site. The URL for the East Lyme Police is eltownhall.com/government/departments/police/ 2. Add URL "www.DiscoverEastLyme.com" 137.103.101.102 (talk) 15:40, 7 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Partly done: The town's and police's websites were updated. The provenance of the third website is unknown. Spintendo      22:16, 7 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
