This source uses lower case. Also who's oil campaign? do we mean the oil campaign of the Westen Allies. Not sure but I bet the U-Boats put a premium on oil tankers. --PBS (talk) 22:25, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Here is one not so reliable source "in late 1941, the High German command ordered the 10th U-boat flotilla to begin war time operations in the Gulf of Mexico.
