Roman Goncharenko (born 24 October 1997) is a Ukrainian filmmaker, recognized for his early start in the film industry and his contributions to various international projects. Born in Svitlovodsk, Ukraine, to parents Alexander, a fisherman, and Lyudmila, an accountant, Goncharenko was raised alongside his older sister, Jana.

Early life and education

Goncharenko's foray into the arts began at the Alexandria School of Culture after completing the 9th grade, where he focused on spectacular and theatrical events, graduating with honors in 2015. [1]

Career

Goncharenko made his entry into the filmmaking industry at the age of 16 with the short film "License". [2]

He has since collaborated with international brands and artists such as Samsung, Pfizer, ASOS, Renault, and Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), contributing his expertise to a wide range of creative projects. [3]

Furthermore, Goncharenko has contributed to music videos for prominent artists such as Ed Sheeran, Lil Nas X, ASAP Rocky, and NiziU, showcasing his ability to work across different facets of the entertainment industry. [4][5]

In 2021, he worked with Iranian composer Mehdi Rajabian on the teaser for the album "Coup of Gods", where he utilized his skills as a director and 3D designer. This collaboration was submitted for Grammy awards consideration, underscoring Goncharenko's versatile talent and international appeal. [6] [7]
