Notes:
- In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
- Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, replace this template with the following, replacing "blocking administrator" with the name of the blocking admin:
{{Unblock on hold |1=blocking administrator |2=Apologies if this is the wrong block template, but the person who previously used this school IP to persistently vandalize is likely no longer present. I'd like to create an account, but my school has blocked the request-an-account page, meaning I can't request one. If any more specification or explanation is required, I can elaborate below this unblock request. [[Special:Contributions/170.185.138.19|170.185.138.19]] ([[User talk:170.185.138.19#top|talk]]) 16:10, 3 April 2024 (UTC) |3 = ~~~~}}
If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following code, substituting {{subst:Decline reason here}}
with a specific rationale. Leaving the decline reason unchanged will result in display of a default reason, explaining why the request was declined.
{{unblock reviewed |1=Apologies if this is the wrong block template, but the person who previously used this school IP to persistently vandalize is likely no longer present. I'd like to create an account, but my school has blocked the request-an-account page, meaning I can't request one. If any more specification or explanation is required, I can elaborate below this unblock request. If you accept the unblock request, replace this template with the following, substituting Accept reason here
with your rationale:
{{unblock reviewed |1=Apologies if this is the wrong block template, but the person who previously used this school IP to persistently vandalize is likely no longer present. I'd like to create an account, but my school has blocked the request-an-account page, meaning I can't request one. We have no way to knowing who is on this IP at any given moment. My first suggestion would be that you create an account elsewhere(or request one if need be). Curious that the school would block WP:ACC but permit IP editing(which would be harder to tie to a particular student) or not just block all of Wikipedia. Do you want to edit for a school function? 331dot (talk) 16:30, 3 April 2024 (UTC)
It appears that I'm the only one who has an interest in editing Wikipedia at my school. Also, I can access WP:ACC fine for the most part, but then when I click "Request an account" it just gets blocked. I wish to edit in my free time, if possible. I also have an account present at User:Sixinite, although that account is used exclusively for when I am not in school or busy with homework. I'm aware I have no proof of being said user, but I can make a statement confirming that I am the user once I get home. 170.185.138.19 (talk) 16:40, 3 April 2024 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
