Hello MikeAllen:

Did you know ... that back in 1885, Wikipedia editors wrote Good Articles with axes, hammers and chisels?

Thank you for your contributions to this encyclopedia using 21st century technology. I hope you don't get any unnecessary blisters.

FNAF Movie 2

Hey Mike, so someone on the article for the FNAF movie put that "a sequel is in development" and put a reference to an IGN article (link here: https://www.ign.com/articles/josh-hutcherson-dying-to-get-back-on-set-for-five-nights-at-freddys-2), where Josh Hutcherson, who played the film's main character, stated that "I know they’re in the process right now of nailing down the story". Should this be taken as facts or just gossip?

Thanks, SupraMerioBros. (talk) 23:47, 8 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Mother as a “fantasy drama”?

Not to press any buttons here but their is no way mother could possibly be anywhere near those 2 genres, just because one source said it was too it is either a surrealist horror or a psychological horror mate Pomniismywife (talk) 02:02, 13 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Scooby Doo

So you are going to report me over the fact that I'm telling the truth that Scooby Doo 1 was released in Hollywood on June 8 and 2002? I'm literally telling the truth, I understand I need a citation, however I'm still new to Wikipedia as I mainly do edits on Nascar because I'm a NASCAR fan, and a fan other sports, and love movies and tv shows. I would like a apology and Appreciate a response back, I hope you understand that I'm still new as I'm been on here for a few months. Take care. MadBlade 2 (talk) 16:11, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please read WP:CITE. You must include a reliable source, as you have been told many times. "Look it up on Google" is not a source. Mike Allen 16:12, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I Read it When I can. But I want to ask. Why didn't they add the Hollywood release date When the Wikipedia was first made? Probably because they either a forgot about it or b didn't care enough for it. I believe Hollywood release dates are important, I mean come on, Scooby Doo 2 Monsters unleashed can have it's Hollywood release date but not Scooby Doo 1? Doesn't that sound ridiculous? I know you might disagree but I believe it is important for a Wikipedia to have a Hollywood release date. I apologize for what I did, but I believe it's about dang time Scooby Doo 1 has it's Hollywood release date ever since it's Wikipedia was created over 2 decades ago. MadBlade 2 (talk) 16:18, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I mean how many movies have you seen on Wikipedia where they didn't have there Hollywood release dates? MadBlade 2 (talk) 16:22, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You need to find a reference of literally anyone online in an interview or reporting on the film mentioning the release date, literally anyone who is not a blog, and then include it on the page as a reference. 77.92.145.214 (talk) 02:43, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I think it might be in production, since the mid-credits scene indicates the prequel will star Louis Partridge, and Matthew Vaughn has been shooting a film with Partridge for the past two months under the working title Project X, he just did not say before now what the film was. 77.92.145.214 (talk) 02:39, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you remove all of my edits?

When you did this, you reverted everything I did, including the external links. Why? ―Justin (koavf)TCM 18:23, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It’s explained in the edit summary and the talk page. However about the links, BOM is already used as a reference. What more information does Allmovie add? Mike Allen 19:33, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see anything in your edit summary or talk page as to why you removed the external links I added. There are 22 citations: which citation is BOM? AllMovie adds the same kind of content that IMDb has. Why would you include the latter and not the former? ―Justin (koavf)TCM 20:20, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Because IMDb offers more? And to not create a link farm. Mike Allen 20:25, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I only meant to undo your release date changes. I didn't even noticed you had added the links. Just add them back, it's really not that big of a deal... Mike Allen 20:28, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Questions for 2 James Wan involved projects

I’ve notice someone created a page for the upcoming A24 Backrooms movie on here. But I noticed there’s a draft page for the film. Is the Backrooms movie filming right now since there’s a page for it I see no evidence that it’s filming. I think the live page should be deleted since the page literally assumes things instead of facts. I posted the article link for you.

The Backrooms (upcoming film)

My second question is will you put Oz Perkins' The Monkey article live since it’s been filming since the beginning of the month? Thanks and sorry for making you read all that lol.

Hi there, there's a user by the name of Mxhyn16 who is edit warring on that page reverting it to his personal preference. I don't know if you have it on your watchlist but stuff is going on there. I swear I'm not making unconstructive edits as he falsely claims I am, I'm just correctly crediting prod companies on the page. The user took it personally and said hateful things in his edit summaries like: "STOP ADDING WARNER BROS BACK?!? ARE YOU REALLY THAT F#CKING STUPID OR JUST ABSOLUTELY RETARDED?!?" or "stop acting like a total b#tch." along with other messed up things. I'm fed up with his bs antics and I'd just like for you to stop him, give him a warning or block that guy since he says toxic things to others. 101.115.184.223 (talk) 07:11, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know if you've seen the end credits of that show but here's proof if you haven't seen its end credits. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FwyJzppqfU 101.115.184.223 (talk) 07:13, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, look I know you have no reason to talk to me but I will explain how this all started and why I acted the way I did. If you go to edit history of the Monarch page, you will see a revision of user2601:18e:c080:2b70:8cd0:9fb1:f58d:67aa or 2601:18e:c080:2b70:4439:b86a:ed5b:8ec3 on January 7, 2024 at 19:05 and January 6, 2024 at 17:37. His edits was very similar to yours with that user adding the "Warner Bros Pictures (in association)" as part of its production companies and I reverted this user's edits because his edits was unconstructive and there wasn't a reliable source. And when I first saw your edits, I immediately assumed that you were that user because you added the "Warner Bros Pictures" as part of its production companies very similar to his edits. That's when I immediately lost my sh#t because I thought you were doing this third time and I completely lost it. That is how this whole thing started and that's why we're having this feud in the first place. What I did to you was absolutely unforgivable and absolutely inexcusable. I shouldn't have lost my temper. I shouldn't have called you a "retard" or a "dumb bitch." I should have done something different like asking you a simple question like, "I want to ask you a quick question. Are you the same user as 2601:18e:c080:2b70:8cd0:9fb1:f58d:67aa or 2601:18e:c080:2b70:4439:b86a:ed5b:8ec3 because your edits was very similar was theirs?" I am truly sorry for the way I treated you and the way I made your life a living hell. My actions have caused a lot of pain to you and I'm deeply regretful for that. If you do not want to forgive me, I totally understand that. I'm not looking for forgiveness. I hope that we end this feud once and for all and just live peacefully instead of fighting one another. I know that my apology isn't going to be enough to make up the things I did. Which is why I want you to tell the administrators to have me blocked from editing for a month so I can atone for my actions. Wikipedia is poisoning my mind and it's turning me into a shitty person. That's not who I want to be. I need to touch grass and focus on activities that are much healthier than Wikipedia. I can exercise or listen to music. Or I can go to therapy because my mental health is not in a good state. Either way, I'm willing to be best version of myself by these mentioned factors and treat others well the way they treat me. I hope you understand. Mxhyn16 (talk) 19:11, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Understandable and fair enough. I'm sorry too for what I've done. I kinda get all pissy and mad when someone insults me. I basically do try to control my outburts but sometimes I can't. It's pretty much the reason I got blocked temporarily for feuding with another user and outside of Wikipedia, I'm feuding with some other guy who let's just say is spreading huge misinfo on a streaming service saying "it's not streaming." etc. I've feuded with that guy for nearly 3 years and nowadays I ignore him most of the time, I just want peace in my life and focus on other things. Yes, the internet is a curse and there are things that I can't resist clicking on. I can admit that I'm stupid for retaliating at you like that. I tend to have problems with understanding editors that are not admin people. I can agree with most of the stuff you said. I'm going through a tough time so yeah. One thing I can agree on is that some I.P editors are downright stupid and treat this site like a fandom fanfic wiki or they're just crazy logo kids. Although some of their edits are quite comical, I'm not one of those guys. My friends on the other hand were. I'd pretty much describe myself as a good faith user anyways. Per talk page, I've decided to not include Warner Bros in the info box since they distributed it and the distributor bit is gone, so I've mentioned it in the article itself instead. If it gets removed, it's removed. All I want to do is just correct infobox in shows where possible if I can. You probably should have asked me about those edits so we could have come to an understanding. I was going to ask the admin people to block you during the feud via the Edit Warring noticeboard but I've decided to not go through it as 1. At the time I did not do anything in the talk page and I just reverted leading to chance of it backfiring and both of us being blocked. And 2. I've calmed down and I have decided I don't wanna make more enemies and start another long intense feud. Long story short, I'm burying the hatchet and I'm moving on. I don't wish to give you any more problems. You might need a break but you don't need a block to do it. However you can actually request them to block you or put some template that shows you're on break or something. Hopefully we can move on from this issue and get on with doing more important things in life, especially with stuff I have been putting off for quite a while. 101.115.182.233 (talk) 10:27, 6 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Megamind sequel, amid all the flak it has, is constantly vandalised

Hello!

It's been a while since we've talked, got busy with college and so-so. When I returned to see Megamind vs. the Doom Syndicate, I wanted to fix it a bit, right? And then these vandals came in, and while they've expressed similar disdain to the sequel, they're really going in for it. A handful of editors (including myself) have had to reverse their vandalism multiple times (sometimes in the same day!)

If it's possible, could we request temporary semi-protection for the article? Maybe for a week or two, this should keep them away from editing. Or even better – try to get 'edit validation' or whatever it's called, I forgot what it was called (whoops!). Thanks!

Nicole. Oh, she's elegantly clandestine... 06:40, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I see it has been protected for 10 days. I have found that animated films tend to draw the worse type of edits. I have started to take many off of my watchlist because it can get stressful. Mike Allen 00:42, 6 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Persistently ‘wrong’ editor on Polanski's "The Palace"

Hi!

So I’ve seen two edits here that sort of either vandalise or give unhelpful information: on The Palace (2023 film), https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=The_Palace_(2023_film)&diff=prev&oldid=1213542014 and https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=The_Palace_(2023_film)&diff=prev&oldid=1213539659.

I don’t want this to seem like an edit war, so could we work together to revert that particular user’s edits? Thanks!

Late Night with the Devil

Hi there. I wonder if you could help me - you reverted my uncited reference. It's on Youtube as Mark Kermode reviews Late Night with the Devil - Kermode and Mayo's Take www.youtube.com/watch?v=JRwSsNgZW2g where you can see the Good Doctor Kermode say it. I think it might also be on a podcast they have on ?Spotify. Am I right in understanding Youtube references aren't allowed? Surely this should be allowed as a reference as it's clearly his words, his opinion, just not in a written form. I thought the Ghostwatch reference was needed as people having been saying it's so unique and so unusual, whereas it seems very similar to Ghostwatch, and Kermode thinks that too .... Rollback of "non-constructive" film edits?

Hello! I noticed at Knives Out that you rolled back some edits by the IP editor 2A01:E0A:C06:70E0:C508:9FA0:7FE5:323D, with the flag that they were "non-constructive". I reverted the rollback because I didn't see anything wrong with their edit, and on a closer look I don't understand what's non-constructive about any of the edits you rolled back. At Fight Club (2023), for example, I looked for some sources and they're entirely correct that the story is attributed to Sasi. Am I missing something? ~ L 🌸 (talk) 00:39, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The Garfield Movie

@MikeAllen Hello. I have noticed your edits on The Garfield Movie in which information was removed for not being sourced or for being untrue. Specifically, Wayfarer Studios and One Coll Group Limited were removed under the guise of not being credited in the trailer or poster of the movie, and Liz Wilson (Jon's love interest in the Garfield franchise) being removed under not being sourced. I refute this. 1.) Wayfarer's and One Cool's logo are shown on the website for the movie and posters. They were even at the end of the second trailer. 2.) Liz appears in the second trailer (specifically the vet scene), and currently has no voice actor confirmed to play her. Additionally, addressing the accusation of removing needed sources, what I did was move certain sources to more fitting places in the article (like moving the source of Harvey Guillen voicing Odie to the newly-created casting section) and removed redundant ones (like the one for Snoop Dogg collabbing with Keith Urban for the movie that was in the cast section).

I'm not making any of this up. I'm not trying to start a war with what I'm doing. I encourage you to stop persistently removing factual information under the guise of not being sourced or untrue, as you previously did with Poor Things (film). That is essentially starting an edit war. ZX2006XZ (talk) 16:04, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

"The News" , "WION"

Yeah, that would be good to refer those websites as such. For your prose limiting, thank you for that. Did some digging, those are Pakistani, Indian websites, and what they reported did indeed catch the eye of the director, enough so for The Hollywood Reporter to headline an article about it, which opened with a sizable piece about the injury, not to mention other coverage by other sites when that subsequently "blew up". Thanks for cutting that down to the proper size and helping emphasize the right aspects of what was trying to be said there.

Have a good one! ReddlSKye (talk) 22:48, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Universal Pictures and Focus Features (Maxxine 2024)

Universal Pictures and Focus Features will distribute the film Maxxine with A24 at International. It won't be first time that Universal Pictures got involved in X trilogy; they also distributed X's prequel, Pearl. I am telling the truth. Can we added those information?

Ok? It still doesn't go in the infobox. We need third party reliable sources to include in the Release section. Mike Allen 23:17, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

what about this Instagram link? Will it still back up my sources for Maxxxine? https://www.instagram.com/universalpicsau/p/C5pvSpPN2AR/ 2A02:C7C:5ADE:9E00:7C4A:2B87:EEF6:5826 (talk) 23:24, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I already added UK distributors and information on Maxxine page but can you help me out by checking any grammar? 2A02:C7C:5ADE:9E00:193C:7D18:3E71:7298 (talk) 16:22, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
