History

Lyfeguard was founded in 2021 by Gary Stewart and Fraser Stewart. Gary Stewart came up with the idea in response to the challenges he faced while managing and transferring personal and financial information during an estate settlement process.[3][4]

In February 2023, Lyfeguard launched its public services. This was followed by a series of partnership announcements with service providers, including Farewill (will writing), Hometree (home cover), and ManyPets (pet insurance).[7][8][9]

In October 2023, Lyfeguard partnered with Moneyhub to integrate open banking technology, allowing users to connect their financial accounts.[10] In the same month, Lyfeguard received regulatory approval from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) as an agent of Moneyhub.[11]

In February 2024, Lyfeguard was featured on the Sky TV program "Venture Visionaries."[12] In the same month, Lyfeguard partnered with Adviser Services Holdings Limited (ASHL), the parent company of the Sense Network, Lyncombe Consultants, and Rockhold Asset Management.[13]
