Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2024 May 26
Long list that simply duplicates list at State-recognized tribes in the United States, to which all the articles in question are already linked. Category:State-recognized tribes in the United States also includes all relevant articles. Yuchitown (talk) 19:28, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
- Keep. I don't see the issue here. Categories and lists are used as bases for navigational templates all the time, and this is a particular topic which links all of these articles together. --RayneVanDunem (talk) 22:58, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
- Keep. No violation of navbox policy. --WikiCleanerMan (talk) 22:52, 27 May 2024 (UTC)
- Template:AMQ (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
This template links to a broken database. Replace all transclusions with {{FCC-LMS-Facility}} (which links to a functional database) and delete. (No need for a redirect; a merge is impossible and this is an implausible search term.) HouseBlaster (talk · he/him) 00:47, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
- Delete per nomination. --WikiCleanerMan (talk) 22:52, 27 May 2024 (UTC)
- Delete This template has been clumsy and useless for several years (as it takes you to another page with very unclear and user-hostile navigation); surprised it hasn't been nominated sooner. Nate • (chatter) 00:04, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
- Support per above. This really should have been done long before the CDBS database began to fall apart (probably around the same time the Radio-Locator template was nominated), but better late than never. Nathan Obral • he/him • t • c • 15:11, 29 May 2024 (UTC)
- Delete this (and FMQ) with the note that replacement with FCC-LMS-Facility must be manually done, as it requires a Facility ID parameter. In many cases, the existence of this template or FCC-LMS-Facility in the external links section can be made redundant by the infobox directly. For articles on current radio stations using {{Infobox radio station}}, this can be turned on in most cases by calling
|licensing_authority=[[FCC]]
(except if there is non-numeric syntax in the facility ID parameter, which may happen for simulcasting stations that share an infobox). Compare before and after Special:Diff/1226852945. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 06:49, 2 June 2024 (UTC)

- Delete The mentioned target and Template:FM station data have replaced this template properly. Nate • (chatter) 00:08, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
- Support for the same rationale as my support for the AMQ deletion request. Nathan Obral • he/him • t • c • 15:12, 29 May 2024 (UTC)
- Delete: Wow, it really is deprecated. Yea, I agree with the nomination. mer764KCTV5 / Cospaw (He/Him | Talk • Contributions) 22:56, 29 May 2024 (UTC)
