The Radical Optimism Tour is the third concert tour by English and Albanian singer Dua Lipa in support of her third studio album, Radical Optimism (2024).[1] The tour began on 5 June 2024, in Berlin, Germany, and is set to conclude in Seoul, South Korea on 4 December.[2][3]
Background
On March 19, 2024, Lipa formally announced the tour, with 4 exclusive shows across Europe and several other festival appareances. Tickets went on sale on March 21.[4] On May 28, 2024, Lipa announced Asia dates for her tour, with tickets going on sale on June 11.[5]
Critical reception
Commenting on the first night of the tour in Berlin, Jule Lippick of Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg highlighted the concert's electrifying atmosphere despite adverse weather conditions, noting that "Lipa transformed the Waldbühne into a wet open-air disco, delivering an intricate performance surrounded by dancers".[6]
Reviewing the Pula concert, Nikola Knežević of Croatian music portal Music Box noted that Lipa delivered a captivating performance that turned the venue into a vibrant dance floor, showing how "fit she is by keeping up with her dancers, running up and down huge steps on the stage, and dancing throughout the entire concert".[7] Edo Plovanić of Muzika.hr praised the concert as one of the best of the year in Croatia, highlighting Lipa's charisma, the impressive visual effects, and her ability to engage the audience in the historic setting of the Roman amphitheater, noting, "[her] performance in Pula can be characterized as one of the most attractive, with her showing great control over her team and connecting with the audience in a unique venue".[8]
