Adebisi Adetayo is a Nigerian 3-D animation motion designer and the director of Lady Buckit and the Motley Mopsters (2020) which won best animation at the 2021 Africa International Film Festival and Africa Movie Academy Awards.

Andrew Kaggia is a Kenyan animator and the director of TeraStorm, a computer-animated science fiction film (2022) that was selected as Kenya's entry for Best International Film for the 95th Academy Awards, making it the first African animated film to be selected to compete for this award. It is also the first original African-scripted animated feature with African characters and context to be nominated for an Oscar.

• Amir Ramses is an Egyptian director known for tackling taboo sujects in films such as Curfew (2020) and the 2012 documentary Jews of Egypt. He is also the director of the Cairo International Film Festival as of 2022 and before that the artistic director El Gouna Film Festival.
• Fyzal Boulifa is a British-Moroccan filmmaker. He won a Critics’ Circle Film Award in 2021 for his directorial work on his first feature film, Lynn + Lucy. His follow up 2022 film set in Morocco, The Damned Don’t Cry, premiered at the 2022 Venice Film Festival.
• Rafiki Fariala is a Congolese-born director and musician whose freshman feature, the documentary We, Students! was the first feature from the Central African Republic to be screened at the Berlin International Film Festival. His follow up film, Congo Boy, is a drama inspired by his own story as a refugee in CAR. Drawing upon his story, “Congo Boy” tells the story of a teenage refugee from the Congo with musical ambitions, who is made responsible for his younger siblings in their new CAR home. Establishing himself first as a musician, Fariala’s documentary “We, Students!” was the first film from CAR to go to the Berlinale and its Panorama sidebar, screening this year
• Frankie Ogar is a Nigerian film director who won Film Director of the Year at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards in 2016 for A Soldier's Story.
• Roye Okupe is a Nigerian filmmaker, graphic novelist and founder of YouNeek Studios. He is the creator of Iyanu: Child of Wonder, which received a greenlight by HBO Max and Cartoon Network for adaptation into a 2D animated series. In 2019 his animated pilot of Malika: Warrior Queen with Nollywood stars Adesua Etomi and Deyemi Okanlawon as voice actors was released.
• James Omokwe is a Nigerian Director. His film Riona got nominated for Best Africa Magic Original Drama Series at the 2022 Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards

• Peter Murimi is a Kenyan director, best known for I am Samuel , a documentary depicting the love story and challenges of a gay couple. The film was banned by the Kenya Film and Classification Board (KFCB).
• Mandla Dube is a South African director best known for Silverton Siege (2022) and Kalushi: The Story of Solomon Mahlangu (2016). In 2022 Dube signed a creative partnership with Netflix.
• Ellie Foumbi is a Cameroonian-American director, writer, and actor. Her 2022 directorial debut “Our Father, Our Devil” (“Mon père, le diable”), follows an African refugee living in the south of France who is suddenly reunited with the warlord-turned-priest who murdered her family. The thriller premiered at the Venice Film Festival.
• Asurf Oluseyi, Nigerian director who was nominated as Best Picture Editor at 2018 Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards for his work on 2017 film Hakkunde. He directed 2016 Nigerian romantic comedy film, Elephant in the Room and 2019 Nigerian romantic comedy film, Kasanova. He was the cinematographer and editor for 2016 Nigerian heist film Just Not Married
• Desmond Ovbiagele, Nigerian director of Render to Caesar and 2020 drama film Milk Maid which was submitted for the 93rd Academy Awards for Best International Feature Film and won Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Film. He was nominated for best director at the 2014 Nollywood Movies Awards and Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Director in 2020.
• Dimeji Ajibola, Nigerian director of science fiction dystopian-action film Ratnik and TV series Wura, Slum King, and Shanty Town. He was also nominated for four categories at Nollywood Movies Awards in 2017 as well as Best Director at the 2020 Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards
• Abraham Kabwe, Zambian film director who directed Jomako Black Democracy which got nominated for Best Movie Southern Africa at the Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards in 2018 and Dalitso which won Best Movie Southern Africa at the same awards event in 2020.
• Nyasaland, Malawian film directed by Joyce Mhango-Chavula. It was nominated for Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Film in an African Language in 2018 and Best Movie Southern Africa at the 2018 Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards.
• Madoda Ncayiyana, director of 2009 South African film, Izulu Lami, about street kids in Durban, which won the 2011 Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Film in an African Language.
• Sam Soko, director of 2021 Kenyan documentary, Softie, about activist Boniface 'Softie' Mwangi. Winner of multiple festival awards, including the Sundance Film Festival's World Cinema Documentary Special Jury Award for Editing.
• Robin Odongo, Kenyan filmmaker whose works were nominated for Best Local Language Film at the 8th Kalasha TV & Film Awards in 2018 for Best Film in An African Language at the 17th Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2021.
• Ram Ally Kasongo, Tanzanian filmmaker whose works were nominated for Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Film in an African Language in 2021 and the 17th Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2021
• T. Steve Ayeny, South African filmmaker and actor who directed Kony: Order from Above and starred in 27 Guns, a biopic adventure about Ugandan president Yoweri Museveni.
• Ernest Nkosi, South African director whose work, the Two of Us was submitted for the 88th Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film
• Hassan Mageye, Ugandan film director who won the Best Supporting Actor at the 3rd Pearl International Film Festival in 2013. He was nominated for Best Director at the Uganda Film Festival in 2015, 2016, and 2017 and won in the latter year. He was nominated for Best Movie (East Africa) in 2017 for Epidemic and for Best Sound Editor in 2022 at the Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards
• Gift Sukez Sukali, Malawian director whose work, Fatsani: A Tale of Survival, was submitted for 94th Academy Awards for Best International Feature Film. Prior, he had worked as a location production assistant on the crew of The Whistleblower.

• Kwabena Gyansah, Ghanian film director who directed Azali. It won the Best Feature Film at the 2018 AFRIFF and was part of the submissions to the 92nd Academy Awards for Best International Feature Film

• Al Hadi Ulad-Mohand is the Moroccan Director of Life Suits Me Well, a 2021 drama. As of October 2022, the film has won 8 awards, including three awards at the 2022 Casablanca Arab Film Festival and El Gouna Film Festival’s CineGouna Platform Grand Prize and Best Film in post-production.

• Eystein Young Dingha is the Cameroonian director of The Planter's Plantation, a 2022 musical drama and Cameroon's entry for Best International Feature Film at the 2023 Academy Awards.

Sara Abdallah is an Egyptian film editor. A long-time collaborator of director Ahmad Abdalla, she has edited his musical drama Heliopolis, Microphone (for which she won best editing at Dubai Film Festival 2010, Rags And Tatters (2013) and his 2022 drama 18B. • Tambay Amadi Obenson is a Nigerian-born Los Angeles-based film critic, filmmaker, and entrepreneur. • Khadija Alami is a Morocaan producer and founder of Oasis Studios in Ouarzazate, Morocco. She was the first Moroccan woman to join the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences in 2017.
• Amine Benjelloun, is a Moroccan Producer whose credits include Casablanca Beats and The Blue Caftan, Morocco’s submission to the 2023 Oscars.
• Pamela Diop is a Senegalese Producer with credits that include the Senegalese films Saloum (2021) and Zero (2022) both directed by Congolese director Jean Luc Herbulot.
• Marianne Khoury is an Egyptian producer, director and writer, and managing partner in the Cairo-based Misr International Films which her uncle, the famous director Youssef Chahine founded. She also launched Zawya, Egypt’s first art house cinema circuit.
• Elias Ribeiro is a South Africa-based Brazilian Producer and co-founder of the Realness Institute along with Mehret Mandefro. His producing film credits include the South African film This Is Not a Burial, It's a Resurrection, Lesotho’s entry for the 2021 Academy Award for best International Feature Film.

• Victoria Akujobi, Nigerian film producer and editor. She edited 2017 Nigerian comedy family film, My Wife & I, edited 2017 Nigerian drama thriller film, The Women, and 2017 Nigerian comedy drama film, Chief Daddy. She produced 2019 Nigerian drama thriller film, Elevator Baby and 2022 Nigerian Romantic comedy film, Hey You. Other films she has edited include New Money, Day of Destiny, Out of Luck and Oloture.
• Mulindwa Richard, Ugandan film producer and director who produced 2016 drama film Freedom and directed 2016 film The Only Son. He received two nominations at the 2018 Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards and he won the Uganda Film Festival Award for Best Director in 2014 and 2019. He also produced Mistakes Girls Do and directed 94 Terror which won 3 awards at the 2019 Golden Movie Awards.
• Melissa O. Odeyemo is an-American Nigerian film producer and founder of Ominira Studios. Her first feature, Eyimofe (2020) premiered at the Berlinale Film Festival, where it was nominated for the GWFF Best First Feature Film Award. Her next feature was the documentary Dusty & Stone (2022) about a country music duo of the same name from Eswatini determined to win big at a local battle of the bands in Texas.
• Don Omope, Nigerian film producer and director who directed Tatu and Makate Must Sell. He produced The Wedding Party and Taxi Driver: Oko Ashewo. He was nominated for Best Art Director at the 2017 Best of Nollywood Awards and Director of the Year at the 2018 Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards for his work on Tatu.

• Layla Swart is a South African Producer whose credits include Sew Winter to My Skin, Blood Psalms, and Knuckle City

Tolu Awosika is a Nigerian-American screenwriter and producer known for King Shaka, a 2023 Showtime TV series and Mzungu, announced in 2022.

Rohan Dickson is a South African screenwriter and show runner. He created, wrote and produced the 2021 South African crime thriller series "Reyka as well as the TV drama series Desert Rose, both produced for M-Net.

Antonio Dikele Distefano is an Italian-Angolan screenwriter and creator of Zero, a 2021 Italian television series that marked Italy’s first show centered around the present-day lives of black Italian youth.

Emil B. Garuba is a screenwriter, director and producer. He is the co-writer of the 2016 AMVCA winning Feature Film Road to Yesterday, 2018's Lionheart, the first Netflix Original film from Nigeria, and of the 2020 political thriller 4th Republic.
