Coburg FC article

I altered the tag you put on there. The article isn't an exact (or remarkably close) recreation of the original article, so it doesn't qualify for G4, but it's certainly nonsense or vandalism - so either one of those will do nicely. =^_^= --Dennisthe2 18:22, 22 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

CFSD ERM

Hi there. I think the article on ERM should definately stand even they are a competitor to the company I work for. The consultancy is definately sizeable and influential and should remain. --Alex 17:43, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Civility

Resurgent insurgent,

I see that you're a new user here, so I don't want to bite the newbie, but I just want to let you know that I do not appreciate your tone in the Sino-American War AfD. As you may have guessed, I like a good debate, but I will not tolerate rude phrase such as "or else shut up". Please be more considerate in the future. I think you will find Wikipedia is much more pleasnat experience without the WikiDrama. Thanks, and happy editing.

Sincerely,

Moore

References should be forthcoming. The bio is consistent, it asserts notability. I put on an unsourced tag as a reminder but I see no reason to doubt it--the type of material added seems to indicate it was based on a local history. If I cannot source it I will send it for deletion myself. The guy you added seems a perfectly good subject, so I certainly didn't want to just revert the article. I don't think it necessarily the best way to use an article for one subject as an article for someone else --if you find other people of the name, great, and they go in new articles. This way we'll end up, I hope, with 2 good articles. You are right that 19th c. people sometimes have entries in google, but only if someone happens to have written or done something in connection with them since the 1990s, so its good if one finds them, but not a negative signal if one doesn't. I do appreciate your work--this is the way to clear up problems. DGG 04:03, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Given the related AfD's - you may wish to look at NBC logos, which is pretty much the same as the slogans except it's logos. Also fully unreferenced.Garrie 03:48, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfDs etc

This article on Moore always puzzled me, especially in terms with the group addition of other bios by apparent other eds, so I am tryingto clear it up. I'm certainly not trying to quarrel, and I hope I havent given that impression. I don't want to appear at cross purposes with you at AfDs, since we both seem to be there a good deal. Uncategorized prods

Hi. I think it's best not to remove the uncategorized tag of an article even if it's proposed for deletion without at the very least adding a high level cat. Since the prod tag can be removed by just about anybody for any reason, this could result in the article being uncategorized and untagged. Pascal.Tesson 03:52, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's if people notice. Though most editors will put a proded page on their watchlist, it's not so clear that deproded articles will be retagged appropriately and we then have to wait for the next botrun to do it all over again. Best to leave it as is or remove the uncat tag, place the page on your watchlist or add come category, even a fairly high level one. But I don't see a problem with leaving the tag there 6 days until the article is deleted. Out of a 12000 article backlog, it's not like it's a big problem. tags for copyvios

Hi. I don't think it's a good idea to delete the tags of copyvios, especially cleanup templates that are sorted by date. Often, copyvio articles end up being kept in some modified version with the copyright issue resolved. However, this often means that the article (as in the case of Clear band) returns to a cleanup category that may have become obsolete in the meantime. Pascal.Tesson 16:23, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

extremely disturbing? I think you're overreacting. A copyright violation is not necessarily something awaiting deletion. In many cases, as I said, the article ends up being rewritten. If you want to add a category, you can always go to the page's history which will easily provide you with more than enough info to do so. Pascal.Tesson 16:39, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

An editor has asked for a deletion review of Avant coast. Since you closed the deletion discussion for this article or speedy-deleted it, you might want to participate in the deletion review. Im not the guy 14:31, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

3G in Indonesia AfD

Well done for spotting that. It was so badly written in the first place, I don't think the copyvio radar was working properly today. :( I speedy closed and deleted. Cheers. :) Bubba hotep 12:19, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you've got a minute...

Hi there,

I wonder if you could take a look at the exchanges on User talk:Im not the guy that relate to the AfD on Avant coast. Please know that I am not being critical of you in this matter, just wanted to gently point out how WP might appear to outsiders in certain situations.

I know that there are many articles created that are total crap put up by total jerks but I don't think this guy is one and even could be encouraged to contribute in other ways despite having their article deleted. I agree with the nom, there aren't sources to support it, and I make my share of abrupt comments in deletion !votes, but maybe this could be a heads up for both of us that we may appear rude to others even when that is not intended.

Thanks for taking the time to check this out! --killing sparrows 23:01, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for taking the time to respond to guy on his talk page. I don't think you were being rude but it's better to keep things cool. It shows class that you responded the way you did!--killing sparrows 01:14, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Behavior modification

I don't think that education has something to do with education. Behavior modification techniques consist of severe punishment long abandoned by any schools. Forcing people to eat their vomit or stay at stressful positions for almost a full day is not something that education or even alternative education can contain.

Also Behavior modification facilities funcions basically more like a prison than a school. I have not seen a school in Denmark that does not allow the students to leave the campus some hours every day outside the time targeted for education. Then there is the communication between parents and children. Have you heard of a school that does not allow parents so see their child in person for a least some hours every week?

No: behavior modification and education is not the same

Covergaard 04:00, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, no a punishment either, eventhough I have to agree that the inmates/students/detainees (We can not agree what the poor children should be called) at both Aspen and WWASP would agree so a certain point that they feel it like a punishment.

I can refer to two statements here on wikipedia, that feels that it is punishment:

but!!!:

The organizations do not agree that they offer punishment. Putting them into the punishment category would be fine with me and the victims, but it would also be doing the exact thing, people claim I do. Writing negative things about them regardless the fact that I at any point only have portraited in way that could described as NPOV due to my cultural background.

See: Aspen claims that they use behavior modification. Behavior Modification for Struggling Adolescents (Aspen Education) But regardless of the fact that children has died in their care, they wont agree that they run a kind of punishment.

Covergaard 07:06, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

But you could merge the UK category and the US category

I see no reason for both categories.

3g in Indonesia PROD

Just in regards to the comment left on my talk page, I am sorry for that, however the author didn't complete the WP:PROD criteria for removing the prod tag... and I quote WP:PROD, 'If you do not agree that the article should be deleted without discussion you can do the following things:

  1. Remove the {{dated prod}} tag from the article, noting this in the edit summary. Editors should explain why they disagree with the proposed deletion.

The user removed the tag, didn't note in the edit summary or explain why he disagreed with the proposed deletion (although the last is not compulsory).' Thankyou for alerting me to my wrongdoings, I misread the WP:PROD criteria and made a mistake. ScorpO 05:45, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

EconTalk

I was very surprised to learn that EconTalk is being questioned in its notablity. Still, I added the following which should establish itself as being notable:

EconTalk is hosted by the Library of Economics and Liberty (sponsored by the Liberty Fund). In 2006, the podcast recieved 2nd place in the Weblog Awards. [3] As of 2007, Roberts has interviewed four Nobel Prize laureates on EconTalk.

Thanks for the fix to the deletion article - I assume you also removed Dreamtone? Can you tell me what I should have done in that case? I could not create a new deletion article without the old one appearing. Robinson weijman 10:15, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Supposedly here's all the captchas XRumer 2.9 can recognise. Not sure about XRumer 3.0. I guess it's a matter of time before they learn to recognise our captchas. It'd be interesting to see the latest of ReyBrujo's dumps to see how many slipped through.
