Monobook

You may wish to make use of a 'Dates' tab in edit mode that will help with unlinking unnecessary date links. Simply copy the entire contents of User:Bobblewik/monobook.js to your own monobook. Then follow the instructions in your monobook to clear the cache (i.e. press Ctrl-Shift-R in Firefox, or Ctrl-F5 in IE) before it will work. It also provides a 'Units' tab. If you know what you are doing, you can copy and modify the subfiles as you wish. I just thought you might be interested. Regards. bobblewik 20:03, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The reason it fails is because you refer to User:Hmains/monobook.js/dates.js and User:Hmains/monobook.js/unitformatter.js and these articles do not exist. You have two options:
Try again. I am happy to walk you through the process. So feel free to ask me again. bobblewik 12:03, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. I've posted a cut-down version of our discussion at the above policy talk page. I hope you'll be able to contribute there. Best wishes, --Guinnog 05:00, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ramapos

Keep in mind that the Ramapos are not just a mountain range, but a river valley as well. As a whole, the Ramapos seem to be a region. Gjs238 14:49, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ramapos

I do not see much in this category or article except mountains. I realize between many mountains there is a valley, but nothing written here. Hmains 19:21, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Geography categories

Please don't take the settlements categories out of the geography categories, as settlements are a major aspect of geography. Abberley2 12:59, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Settlements

As I created and maintained 'settlements in F00' categories, I placed them at the Country level to show their importance. I left notes in the Geography category to point to the Settlement category. Having settlements in the geography catgegory leaves it hidden among a dozen or more cave, mountain, waterfall, etc categories. This is not helpful for such an important category. Hmains 02:19, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Settlements are part of geography so they should be in the geography categories like any other aspect of geography. You are just making thing more complicated. Also, I tend to agree with the users who have argued on your talk page that your settlements categories should not even exist. Abberley2 16:10, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Question: which geography-related, and reliable scholarly sources are you using to justify the Settlements category hierarchy? —Viriditas | Talk 08:00, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your reply. Why is the settlements category being used? —Viriditas | Talk 05:16, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see how the settlements cats makes it easier to find anything. Consider the category scheme before it was introduced. What benefit does it offer to the end user? The ambiguous term "settlements" isn't even used correctly, and I haven't found any geodatabase that uses it, either. —Viriditas | Talk 03:34, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Editing Kent State shootings

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent contribution removed content from Kent State shootings. A tag has been placed on Category:Lagoons of North Carolina, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Category is essentially a duplicate of Category:Sounds of North Carolina but with fewer articles.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on [[Talk:Category:Lagoons of North Carolina|the article's talk page]] explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. TinMan 15:47, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Shopping mall categories

It looks like you have added the company-by-state categories to the shopping mall-by-state categories. I don't think this is approrpiate, since the malls are not companies, but before I remove all of them, is there some of your thinking you can share with me? Thanks. (Feel free to respond here, not on my talk page, to keep continuity - I'll check back) UnitedStatesian 18:02, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AWB use

In this edit, did you intentionally touch all the paragraphs that show up in the diff? It looks to me like you were editing the cat, and AWB made some null changes to the others that are just going to waste space. If so, I'd call that an AWB bug that needs fixing.--J Clear 14:47, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I thought that you might like to know that British anti-invasion preparations of World War II, an article to which you have previously contributed, has been put forward as a featured article candidate. Thank you for your help. If you would like to comment on this article's nomination, please see here. Your opinions will be most welcome. Gaius Cornelius 12:38, 16 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Geographically confused

Perhaps it was a mistake, but did you really intend to move Oklahoma Aquarium to Category:Aquaria in Tennessee, as you did in your most recent edit [3]? Thanks, --Kralizec! (talk) 12:45, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No worries! It was an easy fix.  :-) While I was at it, I went ahead and moved the rest of the aquaria in the parent category to their own state-based sub-cats. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help. Thanks, --Kralizec! (talk) 05:01, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

GA Review

Dear Hmains,

It would be more than welcome - if you could find some time in order to review the Ante Starčević biography - which I nominated as a GA.

Best regards,
