Sources for Turner D. Century

Hello, good work on Turner D. Century, and thanks for the contribution. However, you forgot to add any references to the article. Keeping Wikipedia accurate and verifiable is very important, and there is currently a push to encourage editors to cite the sources they used when adding content. From what websites, books, or other places did you learn the information that you added to Turner D. Century? Would it be possible for you to mention them in the article? Again Dangerous Visions

Thanks, but your change doesn't fix it. The problem is that the article title has no comma, and a comma is needed. Ordinarily one would move that article name, but in this case there is a redirect blocking the path. Hu 21:06, 17 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ramiro Martinez

There has been a suggestion that perhaps we should limit ourselves to giving only the birth year of a living person, rather than their entire birth date. This is not official policy, but it has been discussed on the talk page of WP:BLP and it seems like a good idea to me. One of the reasons for this is to prevent identity fraud. It just seems like there is little need for us to publicize the full date, even though it is available elsewhere. If you still think the full birth date would be better, then let's take this discussion to the Article Talk page to let others have a chance to comment. In short, you don't have to reply. In long, the comment section is a comment I should be filling up but since I tag articles one after the other, I don't have the time to go through the whole article and read and find all the mistakes. For this reason I only add a tag to associate the article in question with the biography project in order to have all the biographies in one place and for that matter we have to assess all the biographies. If you need comments on the article in question, or are unhappy with the rating of an article, you can request comments on my talk page and will gladly answer on the article's talk/comment page. Thanks, Konczewski. You did a great job, considering you can't read Japanese. Her family name is Ike (pronounced "Ee-kay", not pronounced like Eisenhower's nickname), taken from her real family name, which was Ikeda. I'm still digging around for more to add to the article-- we need some discussion of her contributions to the Sukeban (delinquent girl) genre, and maybe a brief discussion of that genre too. I prefer to use English sources when possible, as per English Wikipedia policy, and think I may have found a good source that I'll have access to in a week or two. One iffy thing in the article is her birth month. IMDB and some Japanese sources give May. But Japanese Wiki and some Japanese sources give June. We might give both until we find a conclusive source. Yes, I think all these articles (on erotic actresses or models) are really incomplete without a photo. However determining what is "fair use" is a headache I've usually chosen to avoid. The one fair use policy that I'm fairly sure of is using an image of a film poster to illustrate an article on that film. Someone would almost certainly remove an image of Ike's album if it were used to illustrate an article only on Reiko Ike. But if the article, or a section of the article, specifically discusses the album, an image of the album cover would qualify as fair use, to my understanding. As far as the partial nudity, Wikipedia's policy is that it is not censored. As long as it's not intentionally offensive (and providing an illustration of the album in a discussion of it should not be considered intentionally offensive), it should be OK. Alternatively, we could use an image of a poster of one of her films, or even a DVD cover, in the section in which that film is discussed. That's my understanding anyway... Now that I think of it, discussing the "Pinkie Violence" collection, or one of the other two recent DVD releases, and including an image of that might not be a bad idea... Hello, Konczewski. I saw you enlisted at the WP:LoCE therefore I wanted to ask if you wouldn't mind to take a look at 2012 Summer Olympics bids (52 kb). Since it is on FAC, it had two complete sweeps by a reviewer, but another one still thinks the prose is not professional enough to support it. I've put a request on the WP:LoCE but I sense it will take a long time before it gets a writing-style review.
