The 2007 World Series of Poker (WSOP) will begin on June 1, 2007. The 10,000 USD no-limit Texas hold 'em main event final table will begin on July 6.

All events will again be held at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event will be run by Harrah's Entertainment, which has run the annual event since its purchase from the Binion family in 2004. Harrah's has anticipated that 11,000 to 12,000 will enter,[1] in spite of recent legislation in the United States aimed at curtailing online gaming.

For the first time each event will be double-stacked, giving players double the amount of chips as the buy-in. This means that players in the Main Event will now start with $20,000. The blind structure will also be increased but will be slowed to allow for more play.[2]

In addition to the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. event, which was played at the 2006 World Series of Poker, this year there will also be two additional H.O.R.S.E. events with lower buyins ($2,500 and $5,000).
