"Gimme More"
Song

"Gimme More" is a song recorded by American pop singer Britney Spears, for her highly anticipated fifth studio album. According to Billboard, "Gimme More" was produced by Nate "Danja" Hills, and is set to debut during the beginning of September. It is yet to be determined if the song will be the official lead single or simply a setup track promoting the new album. Britney's follow up album to 2003's In the Zone is expected to hit the shelves by the end of 2007.[1] "Gimme More" leaked on the internet on August 30, 2007 before it was to premiere at opening night of the club LAX.

On July 19 and August 7 2007, several media outlets reported Spears filmed her first video in over two years for her forthcoming single.[2]

Though neither Jive nor Spears herself have confirmed or denied the authenticity of the leaked track, it has received a positive reception from fans. Perezhilton.com was one of the first media outlets to post the song, and on an accompanying poll asking readers for their opinion of the track, nearly half the voters said they liked the song. Review comments on Perez Hilton's website find a surprising amount of Britney "haters" enjoying the techno-inspired track.[3] A part of the song can now be heard on Spears' Jive Records page.[4]
