The Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology formally known as CR State College of Engineering, Murthal started functioning from the Academic year 1987-88 & is the first Govt. Engineering College in the State of Haryana.
History
The Institution started initially with two disciplines in Mech. Engineering & Electronics & Communication Engineering with an intake of 30 students in each branch. Subsequently, various discipline were added & at present there are 8 under graduate courses and 3 P.G. Courses. The various under graduate courses are Computer Sc. & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication. Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Architecture, Bio-Technology, Bio- Medical, P.G. courses are in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering & MBA (IT). There is sanctioned intake of 370 students in under graduate courses and 66 in P.G. courses. All the courses of the college has been approved by the AICTE and the college was affiliated to M.D.University, Rohtak for the purpose of conduct of examination and awarding of degrees. The admission to CRSCE is based on All India Entrance Exam (CEET). The recruitment of faculty is made through Haryana Public Service Commission.
Location
DCRUST, Murthal is located on National Highway No. 1 at a distance of about 50 kms. From I.S.B.T., Delhi and at a distance of about 8 kms. from Sonepat Railway Station. The sprawling campus of the College has been developed on 273 acres of land which falls within the industrial and commercial belt extending from Kundli to Panipat. The site has a strategic location in that it is near the National Capital while being in the clear unpolluted environment of the country side.
