About Me

My name is Curtis Barton, I am an attorney practicing criminal and civil law at a public defender's office in Texas. I graduated from Southern Methodist University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in both English and Political Science. I immediately went on to the SMU Dedman School of Law where I graduated in 2005.

I was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas. I graduated from Wichita High School East in 1998 where I was in the International Baccalaureate Program. I moved from Kansas after graduating high school and have resided in both Dallas and Houston, Texas.

I spend much of my free time reading, writing, watching interesting television and movies, and running. I tend to run on trails at the ultramarathon distance.

I became hooked on Wikipedia in 2002 when I began using it as a tool for researching interesting subjects on the law. I enjoy reading about subjects that I have little knowledge in as a way to pass some free time.
