Here are some tasks awaiting attention:
  • Article requests :  :Recruit people from MolBiol projects and people who list signaling as an interest on their User pages. (See Recruitment on the Talk Page).
Design a convention for drawing pathway diagrams. (See Cell Signaling Diagrams on the Talk Page).
Build a sample pathway article: Hedgehog signaling pathway
Resolve the Cell signaling/Signal transduction merger, no merge
Come to a consensus regarding cell signaling article style. (See Article Structure on the Talk Page).
Templates (See Templates on the Talk Page).
Create a Talk template for use on Talk Pages. (See Project Banner on the Talk Page).
Figure out why this task template isn't working quite as nicely as it should.
Create a userbox for this WikiProject.
    Create more signaling templates.
Create more navboxes. (See Wikipedia:Navigational templates)
Find existing navboxes and add to the Template section.
Categories (See Categories on the Talk Page).
Propose Category Merge: Category:Signal Transduction and Category:Cell Signaling
Wait for discussion/consensus on category merge.
    Assess and label/categorise Category:Unassessed_Cell_signaling_articles
  • Cleanup :  : Mark articles for cleanup using {{cleanup}}
  • Merge :  : Merge Articles: Cell Signaling Networks and Cell Signaling.
  • Stubs :  :Propose a new stub: {{cell-signaling-stub}}.
Wait for approval of new {{cell-signaling-stub}} (Discussion this stub proposal here. Also - anyone got a nice picture we could use for this stub?)
Add {{signaltransduction-stub}} notices to all stubby articles.
Make sure main article of all Category:Stub-Class_Cell_signaling_articles have {{signaltransduction-stub}}. It may seem redundant to have a stub template on the main page when the project banner also lists the article as a stub, but some people into de-stubbing don't look at project pages or talk pages - just main article pages to get a list of stubs they can work on. The more ways to recruit people to help, the better.
    Expand {{signaltransduction-stub}} articles.
  • Verify : :Mark articles that need verification by using {{fact}}, {{Unreferencedsection}}, {{refimprove}}, {{unreferenced}}.
  • Wikify :  : WikiProject banner. Add the WikiProject banner using {{Template:Cell Signaling Project}} to the Talk Page of all applicable articles. This will help with recruiting volunteers as well as categorising articles for easy reference. (See Project Banner on the Talk Page).
Add Infoboxes or navboxes where appropriate.
    Wikify internal links (wiki-links)
Improve articles by creating lead paragraphs and/or section headings.
If you do not have time to wikify, you can still assist by tagging an article for Wikification. To do this, add {{wikify}} to the top of the article.
