University College of Medical Sciences, UCMS, Delhi, is a Medical College affiliated to Delhi University.

History
It was founded in the year 1971, with the classes for the first batch being held in the Department of Chemistry, Delhi University, North Campus. It then started having its clinical postings at Meerut Medical College. Shortly, it shifted to Safdarjung Hospital in South Delhi.
In 1986, it shifted to its present location at Dilshad Garden and was associated with Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, a 1000 bedded institution, as its teaching hospital.
Future
Two Hospitals- Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital (Under Construction) (Timarpur) and Delhi Cancer Centre (Functioning), will come to be associated with UCMS. Plans to start a Telemedicine Centre are underway

Central Facilities
- Lecture Theatres
1. Four air-conditioned lecture halls with audio-visual facilities.
* Three lecture halls with a seating capacity of 176 each and provided with a side room and a projection room. * One lecture hall with a seating capacity of 80 only.
2. An examination hall with a seating capacity of 120 and with a side room. This is also air-conditioned and can be used like a lecture hall.

Facts about the Institute
- The institute is a Network Center for the National Brain Research Centre[23].
- It is also the Nodal Center for AIDS in Delhi along with Safdarjung.
- It is the only Public Trauma center in Delhi apart from Susruta Trauma Centre at Maulana Azad Hospital.
- It also has a fully equipped Burns Ward.
