"World machine" is a studio album, released in 1985, by the British pop musical group Level 42. This album have peaked in #3, on the UK album charts, and stayed in the charts during 72 weeks. Is the first album of the band to enter in the Billboard 200, had peaked in #18, and stayed in the top during 36 weeks.

This album revealed great hits as Something about You, that paid to the band, the second top 10 in the UK single charts and the first and only top 10 in the United States Billboard hot 100 - #7; Leaving Me Now, and A Physical Presence, that gave name the first live album of the group. In the two music videos released for the singles of this album (Something About You and Leaving Me Now), the bassist Mark King this characterized as a magician.

The album was re-released in 2000 along with "True Colours" album on a 2CD set. In 2007, World Machine is re-released as a 2cd Deluxe Edition. The sales of this album already pass of 3 million copies.
