CHANCES offers a more relaxed learning environment at the same time stressing very important learning habits that will be essential to the students future. CHANCES is headed by Principal Rick French. Enrollment is around 50 students and scheduling reflects about the same as FCHS.
Trivia
Franklin Central High School is well known for the 2007 "teddy bear massacre" bomb threat.
Over the course of a week numerous shooting/bomb threats spread throughout the school.
The school took action by forcing security checkpoints to get inside the school, and increased police security.
Students were late by as much as 20-30 minutes getting to class as lines were long to get past the metal detectors and backpack searches.
Despite all the hype and record low attendance that day, no shooting happened.
