Image Tagging for Image:Buckeyelogo.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Buckeyelogo.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Great work on Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania today. Awesome. --Chris Griswold 06:55, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Buckeye Parkway Center, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Page moves

Hello, I've undone some of your copy and paste page moves. Please see WP:MOVE and WP:NC for more information. Thanks. -- zzuuzz(talk) 15:47, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've just undone another cut and paste job. We don't do this because it messes up the page history. With regard to all this moving, is there another place called Verrado? Is there any need to move the current page away from this location? -- zzuuzz(talk) 15:59, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Matfac.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Matfac.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Glendalelogo.gif. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 17:23, 19 January 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. The Evil Spartan (talk) 17:23, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

False licensing on images

Conk 9, you have uploaded a lot of files with improper licenses. Some you have given a vague original source (e.g., "PG", Pittsburgh-Post Gazette I suppose) and marked it as pd-self. Others, you appear to have lied altogether and claimed it as your own: [1]. I must be blunt with you, if you continue to upload any copyright violations, you will be blocked. You cannot simply upload any pictures you find on the internet and claim them as yours. If you have any questions, please refer to WP:MCQ. Copyright violation in Image:Bloomfieldpgh.jpg

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Bloomfieldpgh.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Bloomfieldpgh.jpg is unquestionably copyright infringement, and no assertion of permission has been made.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Image:Bloomfieldpgh.jpg, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Possibly unfree Image:PPGPlace.jpg

If the image's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the image description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. --The Evil Spartan (talk) 17:34, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Authorship claims

You have claimed to be the author of the files listed below. If you have uploaded a copyright violation and the copyright holder wishes to take legal action, you alone are legally responsible. The Mediawiki software keeps information about you which may be shared with lawyers.

Warning sign Files with doubtful claims of authorship may be deleted, and if you continue to upload files with doubtful claims of authorship, your account may be blocked to allow others to investigate your authorship and licensing claims.

Please help avoid unnecessary blocks and deletions by resolving this matter in one of the following ways:

  • If the works are indeed your own, please upload high-resolution original files (rather than images scaled down to "web resolution") and clearly label the source of the files as being your own work. Again, you are solely responsible for such claims.
  • If any of the files you have uploaded are not your own work despite your previous claims, please tag them with {{db-author}}, and they will be deleted by an administrator.

If your account is blocked, you will be unable to edit Wikipedia. In the meantime, please read the copyright policy to make sure the content you upload is allowed. The duration of the block may depend on the number of files to be verified and the findings of the investigation. The Evil Spartan (talk) 17:44, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
