Zoey 101 is an American live-action situation comedy television series that is currently a TEENick show on Nickelodeon starring Jamie Lynn Spears. It debuted on January 9, 2005.

The show is filmed at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California and at Nickelodeon in Sunset Studios at Hollywood, California. It was nominated for an "Outstanding Children's Program" Emmy in 2005. The theme song "Follow Me" was co-written by songwriter Emily Bob and Britney Spears and is sung by Jamie Lynn Spears.

Despite the announcement of Jamie Lynn's pregnancy;[1] Nickelodeon has confirmed that Zoey 101 will continue to air into 2008 completing its fourth and last season. [2]

Synopsis

Season 1: Pacific Coast Academy, California, has long been a boarding school for boys only and has just started accepting girls. The show follows newcomer Zoey Brooks and her roommates Nicole and Dana, alongside their guy friends Chase, Michael, and Logan through their various misadventures. Also, Drama is added to the series through Chase's crush on Zoey, who remains oblivious though it's obvious to everyone else.

Season 2: Zoey and her friends attend their Second Semester at PCA. Zoey and her friends have new adventures during Season 2 along with a new student, Lola Martinez, that becomes Zoey and Nicole's new Roommate. Dana Cruz doesn't return when she is offered a special Student Exchange Program in Paris, France. At the end, Zoey and the gang go to Logan's Summer House during the first Zoey 101 TV-movie: Zoey 101: Spring Break Up. Michael tells Chase this is the time to tell Zoey he loves her.

Season 3 : It's a new year a PCA, and there are shocking suprises, Nicole is sent to an All Girls School, after she was diagnosed with OMGD (Obsessive Male Gender Disorder), so Quinn becomes Zoey and Lola's new roommate. Zoey and the Gang have brand new adventures at PCA, like the Second TV-movie, Zoey 101: The Curse of PCA and surprises at Zoey 101: Goodbye Zoey?. After Zoey leaves with her parents to London, Stacey becomes Lola and Quinn's new Roommate and Chase admits to Michael and Logan that he misses Zoey...and loves her. Zoey finds out the same time when Chase tells Michael and Logan, via-webcam. Zoey has yet to meet face-to-face with Chase after he admits he loves her.

26 episodes were produced for Season 3, instead of the usual 13. The United States has split the third season in half, airing the first half as Season 3, and the second half as Season 4. The fourth production season will consist of 13 episodes.

This two-disc release includes all thirteen episodes from the first season. Bonus features include bloopers, original cast member audition tapes, and a bonus episode, "Quarantine," from the third season. Alexa Nikolas (Nicole) and Kristin Herrera (Dana) do not appear on the cover. More Zoey 101 DVDs were promised, according to the TV promos, but as of 7/07, there are No plans to release the second, and third season anytime soon.
