Thanks for your large contribution to Information management. You provided two references. Could you provide more so we could better verify the content per Wikipedia policy WP:Verifiability? Thanks. --Ronz 16:12, 21 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Ronz, I agree that two paragraphs needed additional referencing, which I have added now. The remaining content is covered by the two original references. --Kai a simon 11:28, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Additions to Organization

I just wanted to give you a friendly heads-up. I reverted the additions that you made to the matrix organization section of Organization. It's not because I didn't think that it was a good addition, but because that section is purposefully short because there is already an article at Matrix management (and another at Matrix Management - don't ask me why). You might want to consider is those additions can be worked in there. If you feel differently, and decide to reinsert your additions, I won't fight it. Happy editing! -- Pawl 05:40, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Pawl, I can understand you reversion, given the additional articles on Matrix Management, but I still believe that the matrix section on the Organization page could need some improvement. The text is superficial. --Kai a simon 11:19, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
(Note - I had already typed this before you responded on my talk page - for some reason, I couldn't save, so I set it aside.) I'm by no means an expert - I still consider myself new to wikipedia - and if like, we can call in an "expert" opinion. All that follows is simply my understanding.
The text in such a section is supposed to be short. Yes, it probably could be improved, and maybe should be fleshed out some. It just doesn't need a full explanantion, when the article already points to the matrix management article. Remember, the hypothetical average reader of the Organization article is presumably looking for an overview of the topic. If they read something that makes them think, "Ah, I want more information on that" then they can follow the link provided to a more detailed article.
What do you think? -- Pawl 15:14, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I suggest a minor edit of the matrix section on the Organization page to make it a little more "...pedia"-like and a merge of my extension into the Matrix Management article, which, by the way, really should be merged with the Matrix management one, maybe under the name of Matrix organization (which currently redirects to Organization with a redirect from both other terms. --Kai a simon 18:16, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your note. I made a few more remarks about the edited version of Business process at Talk:Business process. Still not convinced that the article really has a subject. - Smerdis of Tlön 16:19, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Like you, I am enjoying the discussion on Talk:Business process, but I think we should move the discussion somewhere else. I see you have a blog, but I can't see a link to it. Perhaps if I put something on my blog, you could respond on yours? --RichardVeryard 07:40, 30 May 2007 (UTC) èèè[reply]

That seems to be a good idea. WP article discussion pages are not really well suited for this kind of discussion. We also seem to have scared off Keith (Swenson), who was the originator of the discussion. BTW, your name seemed familiar and I realized that you referred to the inscription and loose coupling ideas that I developed with a colleague in a blogpost in September 2005. Kai A. Simon 08:35, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Of course, I remember you now. But where is your blog? I can't find a link on your User page. And where is your dissertation? I have a link to a page on the Göteborg University website, which you sent me previously and is now defunct. --RichardVeryard 11:12, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The blog can be reached via my web-site. The link to the site is on my user page, and there you will also find my dissertation and other publications. Since my former dept at Göteborg University does not exist anymore in the old form, I had to give up my site there. However, right now, I am posting rarely, since there is a new policy in our company regarding blogging and I first want to have a green light from corpcomm. Kai A. Why did you tag this? Can you explain more on the talk page? I don't think it needs to be tagged.futurebird 20:29, 22 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Lauri Hamalainen

Hi Kai

I got your message regarding Lauri Hamalainen's article on Wikipedia. I was going to create an article for all of Kemopetrol's members and at the time, I done them Laura & Lauri but deleted them afterwards as I did not feel I had enough information. My only source was the bands' website.

I was not aware of article tagging & delete requests until now, so thank you for bring it to my attention & if I have caused any trouble, I apologise.

Take care & all the best. Lee (Le-Foxall)

Speedy Deletion of Jonathan Vogels

Hi Kai a simon, I guess you're right about this page. It was deleted to quickly to put up a fight, but I guess the page wasn't really essential, even though the person was an author, there wouldn't be anybody looking him up too often. Thanks for your help. Adam 00:11, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Aftanoon;

Cassiya

When people stop making links that do not correspond to articles, I will stop making articles to correspond to those links. There is nothing uglier than a red link that goes nowhere. have a nice day!

Cassiya: can i recreate it?

I wouldn't contest (and even support) a recreation, if the article content is meeting wikipedia standards. I looked up the band and they indeed have a number of records, even though I have no idea whether they are notable outside their home island. But I assume that we would be able to find less notable bands here. Just be sure to include external sources to back up the notability claim. Regards. Kai A. Deletion of Tada Catering

Dear Kai a simon,

I am going to have to contest the deletion of Tada Catering. I was not trying to advertise in any way. I was simply trying to inform. Shelleylyn, the owner of Tada, is my sister. I was just creating the Wiki page to inform people about her and what shes done. I will tell you right now she doesn't even need advertising, she is one of the largest scale caterers in the U.S. I was just trying to inform the world of what she has achieved and the services and clients her business offers to. She is a true "fairy tale" success story, we came from the poorest of the poor and we had nothing in our childhoods. She rose up and did everything herself to make a name for the family. So I have to place a <hangon> on the Tada Catering page. I do not know how to do this because I am a new user to Wikipedia editing. What can I do Kai a simon? What can I do to keep the Tada Catering Wikipedia page alive. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Sincerely, User Matt Janse

What is Wikipedia worthy?

There are articles on Wikipedia about "thrash metal" bands that have like 2 fans, poop, and words that are not even officially part of the English language. I don't think these should be included in the Encyclopedia Britannica, there on Wikipedia? The success story factor is just what made me feel compelled to write a Wikipedia article, that is not even what the article was about. It was informing people about the services Tada Catering has and what makes them a revolutionary catering service. She is the biggest caterer in the music industry. I think that deserves a Wikipedia article. If a kid goes to the Vans Warped Tour, which has a Wikipedia article, and wonders how the bands eat every day for two months without eating crap or fast food, Tada Catering would be the answer. I took a while out of my day to gather information for that article, not to mention i am a slow typer. I would like to at least get what I typed back and be able to change it so Wikipedia can display it. If you can't help me can you pass this to somebody that can please?
