Paper Trail is the sixth studio album by rapper T.I. and is scheduled for release in September 2008. He is working on the new studio album while under house arrest on pending gun charges.[1][2] He has completed 30 tracks for the album already. Tip says that he only likes about 16 of them though and plans to produce about 16 more. The album is entitled Paper Trail, which comes from lyrics he has written down on paper. He abandoned this style of rapping after his first album I'm Serious. "He wanted to take more time to really put something down (this time)," explains his rep.[3] The album is expected sometime in 2008.

In an official statement from T.I. in a video on StreetCred.com he talked about the charges against him and also that he had indeed been working on a new album and the title is Paper Trail.[4] He has already recorded at least fifty songs while on house arrest,[5] and collaborated with several artists, including Danja, DJ Toomp and J.R. Rotem.[6]
