Ok, sorry about ading the blogapge, i didn't realise it wasn't acceptable. The other external links are very relevant to this page and should be included to improve the page's quality, as was requested.

I have now added more external links to underpin the extent of this author's influence on environmental issues. This article is more than worthy of inclusion on wikipedia, and any calls for deletion should be removd immediately.

I have added more info and external links with articles on this author to improve the page. I am a student, new to wikipedia and I have made some mistakes, and felt this author was a very good subject due to his books, articles, cross border work and international journal editing, I have seen far less notable entrys in my time using this site. I prefer the academic resource side of wikipedia, and feel this entry is more than worthy of inclusion. I will update and improve this entry and add others. To improve this site further, I have added new info and external links and with new external references added. These changes answer all of your concerns, and should lead to the delete notics being removed immediately, in accordance with wikipedia practice. Please read page on this author again, so there is no doubt as to the significance of the subject. Jim.dooley (talk) 22:19, 16 March 2008 Jim.dooley (talk) 22:26, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit] Politics Inflamed

Politics Inflamed: GSE and the campaign against incineration in Ireland (2005) Galway: Irish Greenhouse Press Ecopolitics Series Volume 1 and Drogheda: Choice. Politics Inflamed was Leonard's first book, examining campaigns against incineration in Ireland.

[edit] Green Nation

Green Nation: the environmental movement in Ireland from Carnsore Point to the Rossport 5 (2006) Galway: Irish Greenhouse Press Ecopolitics Series Volume 2 and Drogheda: Choice. Green Nation, Leonard's second book, has been critically acclaimed for its development of an understanding of the rural based nature of the Irish environmental movement. The book introduces the author's concept of 'rural sentiment' or the visceral connections which links communities to their hinterlands, leading to episodes of collective action against infrastructural developments.

[edit] The Environmental Movement in Ireland

The Environmental Movement in Ireland (2008) Dordrecht: Springer. This study develops the themes introduced by Leonard in his first two books. The concept of 'rural sentiment' is extended into a discussion of ecological capital, while existing case studies are revised and updated.
