Joe Diorio was born in 1936. He has performed with legends of jazz like Sonny Stitt, Eddie Harris, Ira Sullivan, Stan Getz, Horace Silver, and Freddie Hubbard.[1] In recent years he has also recorded with modern performers like Robben Ford, Gary Willis, and fellow guitar education legend Mick Goodrick.
Joe is a highly respected educator and currently teaches at the University of Souther California (LA). He was also one of the first instructors for the Guitar Institute of Technology (G.I.T.).[2] He has published five instructional books and released 10 albums under his name.[3]
