Thanks for this - brings back horrible memories ;) Secretlondon 02:59, 3 Apr 2004 (UTC)

According to Keble College, Oxford, it's a myth that Mallett was there. Is there any evidence for the claim that he was? --Phronima 11:46, 22 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Cannot find any reference to Timmy Mallett at the BBC Radio Berkshire page - should this item be removed?
He went to Warwick UNi - he never went to OXford and never studied at Keble. Robsteadman 08:59, 19 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
OK - as an Keble old boy I have done a search on the Alumnus website - and no T. Mallett tuns up - tried other spellings, etc. but nothing. I think we can safely say he was not a student at Keble. Robsteadman 16:15, 20 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Though wouldn't the fact that he dropped out of his master's degree mean that he wouldn't be listed, even if he went there? - Green Tentacle 16:37, 23 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've done a bit of research and these three pages all say Timmy Mallett went to Oxford. - Green Tentacle 17:30, 23 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Is Timmy Mallett his real name? And what did he study at warwick/oxford?
Yes, Timmy (or presumably Timothy) Mallett is his real name. Apparently, Mallett (note the different spelling to the hammer) is one of the few names that can be traced directly back to the Norman Conquest (my WAC Annual 1987 told me that!). He studied History at uni, as stated in the article. - Green Tentacle 00:32, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

University of Warwick: Timmy certainly went to the University of Warwick and read History 1974-1977 because so did I and I knew him: a very nice chap, and no doubt still very nice but rather richer. He is probably Warwick's most famous alumnus! (Cambridge had Darwin and Newton and just a few other famous ones...Warwick had Timmy. Oh and Simon Mayo ;-)) And the woman who used to be the BBC royal reporter.

Dude, where's my mallet?

This is a joke, right? Good one though ;-) See a Google search for no traces of the title on the web. - Chris Wood 20:22, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism

I kind of feel like the schoolyard tell-tale here.

...CATS?!

I searched for "Bombalurina" (a character from the musical CATS) and it redirected to this. What's the deal?! Lycanthrope777 05:37, 25 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A late reply, but here you go: 'Bombalurina' was also the name of Timmy Mallett's band. I have converted the Bombalurina page into a disambiguation page linking to Bombalurina (cat) and Timmy Mallett. - Green Tentacle 16:51, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Trailist

"Timmy was a trailist on The Match in 2006."
What on earth is a "trailist"?

Who are these people? They do not have WikiPedia entries. Are they 'notable'? Goole finds nothing that connects them to Mallett or Hyde Grammar School -- BrokenStar 10:37, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why??

"Mallett, whose parents now live in Penrith, Cumbria, "

I'm sure I'd like to pay Mr and Mrs Mallett a visit, but I don't see why this info would be useful otherwise?
