Masiela Lusha (born October 23, 1985) is a Albanian-American writer and actress. She is best known for her role as Carmen Lopez on the sitcom George Lopez.
Biography
Early life
She was born in Tirana, Albania and her family moved to Atlanta, Georgia, in the United States, when she was seven. Lusha published a book of her poetry, Inner Thoughts, written in both Albanian and English, at the age of twelve. She graduated from high school at the age of 15. Lusha attended Glendale Community College and UCLA.
Career
She became an actress and appeared in the films Summoning and Cherry Bomb. She later played Carmen Lopez in ABC's sitcom The George Lopez Show for five seasons. She has also appeared in other television series including Lizzie McGuire and Clifford's Puppy Days. She will appear in the upcoming live-action adaptation of the movie Blood: The Last Vampire alongside Jun Ji-Hyun.
She is also the founder of the "Masiela Lusha Foundation," a Universal Charitable Foundation.
