The Trix
The Trix are a group of antagonists in the fictional series Winx Club. They are known as "The Senior Witches", or more commonly just "The Witches", in the English version. They consist of three teenage witches - Icy, their leader, Darcy, and Stormy. For most of the first season, they attend the Cloud Tower School For Witches. In the first season, The Trix stole the Dragonfire and summoned the Army of Decay to take over the realm of Magix. The Trix are the descendants of the three witches who destroyed Sparks and created Baltor.
Icy
Icy: A young witch described as having a "Heart of Ice" (cuore di ghiaccio). As the middle and most powerful sister, she is the ruthless leader of the Trix and wishes to rule the universe. The name Icy suits her perfectly, describing her powers and her general personality. She is cruel for the sake of being cruel, viciously ridiculing people she doesn't approve of. She attacks victims with freezing rays and snow storms. Icy hates the fairies of Alfea to a huge extent, misguided by Professor Griffin. The witch's antics mainly targets breaking into Alfea and casting some sort of spell such as a curse or hex. Monsters that she has controlled include ogres, minotaurs, trolls a Nightmare Gargoyle and also Creature from the 'Army of Decay'. Lisa Ortiz voices Icy in the 4kids version.
Appearance
Civilian: In the first season, Icy usually wears light blue when she is not in her witch form. Her outfit consists of a top and a bottom like the Winx girls. Her top is light blue and has a collar. Icy's skirt is light blue with a string of diamond shaped accessories hung over it. She wears high laced light blue boots. Her long white hair is tied up into a high ponytail. She has two strands of hair curled up and laid over her shoulder. She has light blue eye makeup.
Witch: Icy's outfit turns into a darker shade of blue. Dark blue eyeshadow appears under her eyes. However, her hairstyle does not change. Instead of wearing a top and a bottom, her outfit changes to something like a suit. She wears high boots of the colour dark blue. The letter I is embossed on the outfit. She also wears a blue choker at her neck. A dark blue cloak also appears.
Gloomix: In her Gloomix version, Icy wears her witch outfit and the gloomix is a necklace, which came from Lord Darkar.
Disenchantix: In her disenchantix form, Icy wears an outfit that looks like a bathing suit with light blue shawls that is attached to her arms to her bathing suit. Her outfit is blue and her hairstyle stays the same.
Lake Fortress Of Light: In the beginning of the second season, when the Trix were imprisoned in Lake Fortress Of Light, Icy wears a light yellow robe and a lime headband. Her hairstyle does not change.
Powers and Skills
Icy's powers come from ice. She is seen to have the following powers, unnamed in the original version, but named as below in the 4kids dub:
- Ice Coffin: can entrap an item or object in ice
- Temper Freeze: It is seen in episodes that she can freeze with her emotions
- Ice Spikes: In one episode she can make spikes with her ice
- Wisperian Crystal: Icy's Wisperian Crystal is shaped like a dagger. This is probably because she is a warlike person
- Ice Crusher:A Huge chunk of ice builds up next to an object, and the chunk of ice grows until the thin piece of ice holding it up breaks. Then the chunk of ice falls on the object and crushes it.
- Blizzard: Creates a blizzard
- Ice Hail: Attack that wipes out everything in Icy's path.
- Ice Bracelet: Causes a circle of ice to surround the enemy.
- Arctic Blast: Gives out a blast of icy energy in the form of Icy's Head.
Like the fairies, she and the rest of the Trix seem to have the power to magically transform into their witch forms, although they have never been seen doing so.
Icy's Crystal of Winsperium is light blue and is shaped like an icicle.

Darcy
Darcy: A young witch described as the "Lady of Darkness" (signora dell'oscurità). She is more calm and competent than her sisters. Devious and manipulative, Darcy uses subtle dark magic and illusions to confuse and control opponents. She is good at discovering weaknesses and exploiting them. Caren Manuel voices Darcy in the 4kids version, and Carrie Finlay in the original English version. Darcy's birthday is given as November 26 in the 4kids dub (because the episode in which it gets announced, "Truth or Dare", first played on that day).[1] Darcy has demonstrated the power of confusion (as seen in Season One's The Day Of The Rose). She also has been seen to have hypnotic powers.
Appearance
Darcy in her normal outfit consists of a purple top, purple bell-bottoms, and sunglasses with yellow lenses. Her witch outfit is the same color, but it's more like a bodysuit with no sleeves, and capri-style pants. Accessories include light purple gloves (however the glove on her left hand gets removed in order to house the Gloomix that was given to her by Darkar), ankle boots that are the same color as her witch outfit, and a choker that forms a "D" at her belt. Continuing the purple accessories, Darcy wears eye makeup in her witch outfit. Darcy is more classy than her sisters. Her hair is very long, making it look like she wears a cape.
Disenchantix: her disenchantix, resembling a bathing suit is navy blue in colour like the others and has purple shawls on her legs. It is outlined with purple.
Powers
Her powers are of darkness and her magic commonly is seen as purple rings. Her powers are widely displayed in the seventh episode of the first season The Day Of The Rose, here it is revealed that she can hypnotise people such as Riven. In the episode The Fall Of Magix, it is shown that she can create vortices and make rooms turn into darkness (this is because her powers were powered by the Dragonfire at the time.) In The Day Of The Rose(4kids version) she hypnotizes Riven, a Red Fountain specialist. (in the original English she brings him out of a coma) Their relationship was in the arc until the witches obtained the Dragon's Flame. Riven was a spy for Darcy and got information about Bloom for the witches. He, for most of the war, was prisoner in Cloud Tower.
One power she has used in Season One episode three, "Save the First Dance" is called "Heel of Oblivia". This does not really use her powers of darkness but it shows her stomping her foot causing a huge crack in the ground. Her notable attacks are:
- Dark Slam : Creates a wave of darkness.
- Remote Witch Slam: Creates a hypnotic burst of energy.
- Clouds of Darkness (Gloomix): creates darkness around a person.
- Psychic Blast(gloomix): works like a mental unconsciousness dart.
- Cosmic Witcher: Affects a person both physically and emotionally.
- Perfect Darkness (Gloomix): Turns a particular room completely dark.
- Teleportation
- Illusion Dillusion (Disenchantix):Creates an illusion of the person's most feared object/person/element etc.
- Optical Darkness (Gloomix): Turns a person blind.
- Pauser Hex (gloomix): Freezes a person's momentum.
- Duplication: Darcy can create up to 40 duplicates of herself, which attack enemies.
- Dark ball: Creates a ball of darkness which injures a person.
- A few more: hypnotic ray, magnetic hypnosis, dark memisis, dark hook, dark shadows, incubus etc.
Stormy
Stormy: A young witch (she's the youngest of the Trix) described as the "Queen of Storms" (regina delle tempeste). Her temper matches her name; Stormy is extremely proud, ill-tempered and is somewhat immature. Stormy is known for her frizzy hair shaped like a storm cloud. She secretly believes herself to be stronger than Icy but this is unlikely. She is voiced by Miyu Sawai in the Japanese dub.
Appearance
In her standard form she wears a maroon crop-top with a metal loop decoration attaching the shirt to a loop around her neck. Other than this, her top is strapless. She also wears a shiny maroon mini-skirt and maroon platform high-heeled sandles. In her witch form, Stormy wears a maroon dress with the letter "S" embossed at the middle of her outfit with matching maroon fingerless gloves, tights, and high-heeled boots. Like her older sisters, she wears eye makeup of the color of her witch outfit and a choker at the neck. Her Gloomix is a swirly red arm piece with a diamond on the end that replaces her right glove.
Disenchantix: Her outfit, a top and bottom resembling a bathing suit is navy blue in colour like the others and has reddish-pink shawls on her miniskirt. The outline is red.
Powers
Stormy creates and controls storms, thus deriving a pun from her name. She draws her powers from the storms and the wind. Her most used attacks are:
- Double Tornado: Creates double tornadoes.
- Lightning Bolt: creates a bolt of lightning which can induce pain or make a person fall. It is estimated that about 17 lightning bolts can kill a person.
- Hurricane(gloomix): Creates a funell of F-3 scale.
- Tornado Sphere(disenchantix): traps a person in a tornado.
- Psycho-clone:Twister attack, called the "Psycho-clone" in the 4kids version, is a move in which she spins at a high speed creating a tornado with a scale of F-6. (Although in the second season she summons it like she summons most of her tornado attacks).
- Twister Fury: Creates a strong gust of wind.
- Twister of Rage: Creates a F-4 scale tornado.
- Electric twister: Creates a twister of F-3 scale which has electricity in it.
- A few more: Fury storm, Shadow funell, air pockets, voltage slam, etc.
