The Empire of Somple is a Tony Williams established on 20 June 1997. It currently has in it 22 people (2008 census). The current head of state is Kaiserin Vogel and the current head of government is Chancellor Kenshin. From 1997 to 2001 The Empire of Somple was at war with another micronation. In 2007 the Empire of Somple was given a modern constitution. Somple has established relations with the Republic of Molossia. Significance of the Empire of Somple

The Empire of Somple is strong micronation that has endured 11 years of hardships and challenges. The first 10 years of a micronation's life are the hardest. The Empire of Somple has survived the first 10 years and is an established micronation. That is more than can be said for the Kingdom of Lovely (est. 2005), the Principality of Vikesland (est. 2005), or the Sovereign Kingdom of Kemetia (est. 2005). The Empire of Somple has proved itself as a lasting micronation. Many microantions, well known and not so well konwn, collapse or are abandoned within the first few years of their establishement. The Empire of somple has survived this.

Legitimacy

The Empire of Somple is a micronation and it does not consider itself an independent nation but it does consider itself a microantion.

Association with Lost

The Dave empire (or whatever) has historic ties to the hit TV show, LOST; but does not associate itself with either the acoustic or electric versions of the song Lost!, which is found on Coldplay's latest album, Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends.[www.google.com]

History of Somple

The Empire of Somple was established on 20 June 1997. The first ruler of the Empire was Kaiser Timmy I. He ruled from 1997 to 2001. His reign was dominated by the LAB War which lasted from July 1997 to February 2001. This was the longest war in the history of the Empire of Somple. In February 2001 the Empire of Somple ended up defeating another micronation which collapsed. Kaiser Timmy's approval ratings, by this time, were horrible and he abdicated in March 2001. He was replaced by Kaiser Timmy II Jack, who reigned until June 2001. The Empire was, at this time, becoming very strong militarily. In 2002 the First Golden Age began. In 2003 Chancellor Kenshin came into office after being appointed by Kaiser Adam I.

By 2004 the Empire of Somple had possibly the strongest micronational army in the world. The Empire of Somple expanded claiming the surrounding territories. At this time the capital of Somple was Citadel #1. On 27 May 2004 the Empire of Somple, under Kaiser Adam I, declared war on Cody's Empire. The Cody War lasted from 27 May 2004 to 19 July 2004. During the first few weeks the Empire of Somple won victory after victory sending Cody's forces home in defeat. The Empire of Somple was rapidly expanding. By the end of June 2004 the tide had turned and the Empire of Somple was losing. On 19 July 2004 the Empire of Somple surrendered to Cody's Empire. Cody became Kaiser Cody I of Somple. His reign lasted for a short time. He was deposed before the end of the month. Kaiser Patorik introduced the nations first constitution on 220 September 2004, turning Somple from an absolute monarchy into a constitutional monarchy.

On 28 December 2004 the capital of Somple was moved from Citadel #1 to Füzzel (called Cadekyo from 2004-2008). The first half of 2005 was marked by political debates over Somple's governemnt. The Constitution of 20 September 2004 was obsolete by this time. On 5 August 2005 the government became more liberal and Kaiserin Vogel came to the throne. In 2005 and early 2006 much was done to Cadekyo (Füzzel) to make it feel more like a regal capital. There were minor problems in May 2006 because of the Panic of 2006 but before long the Empire of Somple was as strong as ever.

In September 2006 the Somplenese Colony of POMHB was established. On 13 October 2006 the Vogel Cosntitution was ratified by the Imperial Senate of Somple. Things went great for the Empire until civil wars, called the Cade-POMHB Wars, erupted on 24 November 2006. These wars would last into 2008. On 28 May 2007 a mor liberal constitution was ratified and is still partially in effect as of July 2008. The year 2007 would be dominated by wars with POMHB, which was trying to become independent. POMHB eventually failed. In 2008 the Constitution of 28 May 2007 was revised and a friendship with the Republic of Molossia was established.
