Pam Ward is an on-air personality for the cable sports television network ESPN.

Prior to ESPN, Ward worked as an anchor/host for WTEM between April 1992 and March 1995 and then WBAL-AM between March 1995 and 1996.

She started working there in 1996 as a sideline reporter, but hated the job [1] and asked her superiors to assign her play-by-play on NCAA football games; she was granted her request in 2001.

She is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park with a degree in communications.

Ward and Beth Mowins are the two main female play-by-play announcers on ESPN.
