Pierre Vogel (* July 20, 1978 in Frechen, also known as Abu Hamza [1]) was Profi-Boxer in Cruiserweight [2] for the Sauerland-Boxstall [3] and embraced Islam in 2001. Pierre Vogel started Islamic studies in Germany [4], then for two years he studies Arabic and Quran at the privat school Om Al-Qura [5] in Mecca and started 2006 teaching Islam in mosques, universities and even Christian congregations.
Pierre Vogel was evangelic and attended a catholic convent school thinking, that the difference between Christianity and Islam consist in, that one is for the German and the other for Turkish and Maroccians.[6] He was always interested in religion and good in sports, so he became a first class boxer. Pierre Vogel was german Junior-Master in Boxing and at the age of 22 he got a professional contract (2000-2002) with the Sauerland-Boxstall. [7] As amateur boxer he had 66 bouts, as professional he boxed undefeated in seven bouts (6 win, 1 tie). Pierre Vogel is heavily presented in the Internet. [8] Hundreds of Germans convert to Islam every year through his islamic Lectures and seminars everywhere in Germany. [9] His form of preaching is heavily disputed. [10] Pierre Vogel is married with a maroccan woman and is father of two children. [11]
